Spread gratitude activities

The District Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) of Duc Hoa district and the Youth Union branches have effectively maintained many meaningful and outstanding traditional education models such as Filial Children and Returning to Mother's House. These are practical activities to take care of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, former Youth Union officials, former volunteer youth, and disadvantaged and lonely families in the district.

Periodically on holidays and Tet, every month, the District Youth Union organizes days of “eating, living, and working together” with families of policy beneficiaries. During these days, union members and young people visit, help, and share difficulties with the families. Simple actions such as cleaning the house and surrounding landscape, cooking warm meals, chatting, and listening to historical stories contribute to soothing the pain of loss of the families and fostering gratitude in the younger generation.

Duc Hoa District Youth Union visits Vietnamese Heroic Mother

Carrying out gratitude activities, Duc Hoa district youth kindly visited and presented meaningful gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers , people with revolutionary contributions and policy families with difficult circumstances.

In the Youth Month of 2025, the District Youth Union presented a symbolic plaque for the Youth Project model "Returning to Mother's House" and carried out the renovation and renovation of a more spacious house for Vietnamese Heroic Mother Dao Thi Mat in An Ninh Tay commune with a total cost of 120 million VND.

The Gratitude Movement has also become a regular activity in the activities of the youth of Kien Tuong town. Secretary of Kien Tuong Town Youth Union - Nguyen De Goonl said: “The Gratitude Movement is organized by the Town Youth Union with many specific and meaningful programs and activities, associated with emulation movements and revolutionary action movements of the Youth Union, Associations and Pioneers at all levels. The Town Youth Union especially focuses on implementing the model of Filial Children, regularly organizing activities to visit, encourage and give gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs on holidays, New Year and traditional anniversaries”.

According to Mr. Nguyen De Goonl, on average, each year, the City Youth Union gives meaningful gifts to more than 100 policy households in the area with a total cost of more than 50 million VND from socialized funds. In 2024, the "I love my homeland" Journey program will include many activities: Offering incense at the martyrs' memorial house, giving gifts to disadvantaged students and promoting the glorious tradition of the Youth Union and Association.

During the peak week of " Drinking water, remember the source " and "Repaying gratitude" in 2024, more than 1,000 union members and youth union members of Kien Tuong town actively participated in meaningful projects and youth work such as "Thousands of flowers offered to martyrs' graves" and "Taking care of works honoring martyrs", contributing to beautifying the "red addresses" in the area.

Gratitude activities not only demonstrate the nation's good morality but also contribute to educating revolutionary traditions, fostering patriotism and a sense of responsibility for the younger generation./.
