Duc Trong: Giving houses to poor ethnic minority households

Mr. Tran Trung Hieu - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Mr. Vo Huu Xuan - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, Mr. Chu Van Chi - Vice Chairman of the District Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee attended and presented the decision to the families.

Leaders of Duc Trong district and N'thon Ha commune presented gifts from the district and commune to Kon Sa K'Hăng's family.

Mrs. K'We's house was built on an area of ​​about 45 square meters, with a total construction cost of 200 million VND. Of which, the Fund for the Poor of Duc Trong district supported 50 million VND, helping her reduce her financial burden and realize her dream of a solid home.

Sharing the joy, Mrs. Kon Sa K'Hăng's family also had a new house with an area of ​​50 m², the total construction cost was 185 million VND. Notably, her family received support from the District's Fund for the Poor with an amount of 50 million VND and the companionship from Lien Khuong International Airport with a support of 50 million VND. This is a great source of encouragement, contributing significantly to her family's stable life.

District and commune leaders chatted and visited K'We, who is 80 years old this year, in the new house that was just given to him.

At the handover ceremony, representatives of the District and Commune Steering Committees expressed their joy at seeing the newly completed houses and sent their best wishes to the families. The houses are not only a shelter from the rain and sun, but also a motivation for poor households to rise up and build a better life.

This is one of the practical activities, demonstrating the deep concern of local authorities, organizations and businesses for poverty reduction and ensuring social security in Duc Trong district. These houses of love will certainly light up hope and bring a brighter future to those in difficult circumstances.

It is known that from 2024 to present, Duc Trong district has mobilized resources to allocate funds to support the construction and repair of 145 houses with a total amount of VND 8.83 billion (84 newly built houses, 61 repaired houses); of which, construction has started and completed 144 houses (83 newly built houses, 61 repaired houses), reaching 102.9% of the plan. To date, 110 houses (61 newly built houses, 49 repaired houses) have been basically completed and handed over; 34 houses are under construction (22 newly built houses, 12 repaired houses). Expected to be completed in May 2025.
