Memorial incense offering ceremony
At the ceremony, Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan reviewed the heroic history of the nation, emphasizing that the Great Victory of Spring 1975 was a great achievement of the entire Vietnamese people under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. The victory on April 30, 1975 ended more than two decades of arduous struggle, completely liberated the South, reunified the country, and opened a new era: the era of independence, territorial integrity and prosperous development. The Ambassador expressed his sincere respect to President Ho Chi Minh, the heroic martyrs and compatriots who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan proudly recalled Vietnam's outstanding achievements over the past 50 years, and acknowledged the important contributions of the overseas Vietnamese community. He believes that the Vietnamese people in Pakistan will continue to accompany the people of the whole country in the process of building and developing the country, towards a strong and prosperous Vietnam, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world's great powers.

At the event, overseas Vietnamese representatives were moved to share that, despite living far from their homeland, memories of the heroic years of struggle of the nation are always vivid, a source of great spiritual encouragement, reminding the younger generations to appreciate the sacrifices of their ancestors and be proud of the glorious history of the Vietnamese people.
Reenacting history
The ceremony also featured a documentary screening about the April 30, 1975 victory day, helping the Vietnamese community and Embassy staff relive the historic moment when the revolutionary flag flew over the roof of the Independence Palace.
The young overseas Vietnamese attending the event expressed their deep gratitude to previous generations.
Although they did not directly witness historical moments, through stories, films and traditional songs, the children understood more, were more proud and believed in the bright future of the country.

Spreading the image of Vietnam
To more widely and effectively disseminate this important event of the country in the host country and the diplomatic corps, the Embassy coordinated with local press agencies to publish the full text of the article “Vietnam is one, the Vietnamese people are one” by General Secretary To Lam. Major local newspapers also published important articles and speeches by Party, State and Government leaders on the historical significance of the event, the leadership role of the Party, and Vietnam's development achievements over the past 5 decades.
In addition, Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan directly answered local press interviews about the historical significance of the great victory in the spring of 1975, about the tradition of passionate patriotism, the indomitable spirit but also the willingness to "put the past behind, look to the future" of the Vietnamese people. The Ambassador informed the local press about the stable political environment, Vietnam's outstanding achievements in the fields of politics, economy, society and foreign affairs, and emphasized Vietnam's position and role.
