Spread the movement "good people, good deeds"

Implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, the Party Committee of Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company launched the movement

Every year, the Party Committee and Trade Union of Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company issue resolutions and develop propaganda plans, promote the implementation of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style through specific actions and deeds. Through that, many individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements have appeared. Over the past 10 years, 46 outstanding masses of the company's Party Committee have been admitted to the Party, of which 30% are direct workers. Many workers have the good deed of picking up lost property, returning it to the owner and have been commended by the company as an example of "good people, good deeds".

Notably, Mr. Lam Minh Hai, a worker at the Transport Enterprise (Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company) picked up valuable assets worth more than 1 billion VND and returned them to the person who accidentally left them among the trash while cleaning the house to welcome the Lunar New Year of At Ty. This beautiful gesture is not only the result of a series of efforts and urgent actions of many officials and workers on the New Year's Eve of At Ty, but also the crystallization of the spirit of responsibility to serve and support the people of the entire company.

Despite being under great pressure to urgently collect and transport the amount of garbage that has increased 3 times compared to normal days, many officers and employees of the company actively participated in verifying the location of the trash bin, the time when people accidentally put their belongings and garbage in the bin, accurately identifying the vehicle that lifted the trash bin and brought it to the trash transfer station on Le Thanh Nghi Street, the machine that compacted the trash and belongings into the trash container at the station (there are 4 trash compactors).

Since then, the company has arranged an empty area at Khanh Son landfill for trucks to dump garbage from this container to search for assets. Upon receiving the notice of support for searching for assets, Mr. Lam Minh Hai actively rummaged through each handful of garbage and found a very small box containing assets including 2 rings and 2 diamond earrings worth more than 1 billion VND. At the moment of the New Year's Eve of At Ty and in the middle of a "mountain" of garbage that had been weighed into dozens of tons after being compressed, Mr. Hai did not take the valuable assets but handed them over to the company to return to the people who accidentally mixed them with the garbage... "I am a worker so I understand the feeling of losing assets, especially large assets during Tet, and how worried I am. Picking up lost property and returning it to the owner is what I need and should do," Mr. Hai shared.

The Chairman of the City Labor Federation has just awarded a certificate of merit to union member Lam Minh Hai and the collective of the Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company's Trade Union for their outstanding achievements in implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo for the period 2016-2025. The City Women's Union honored 50 members who successfully implemented the emulation movement "Each member, a beautiful gesture; each union organization, a meaningful action", including member Tran Vu Ha Lan, a worker at Hai Chau Environmental Enterprise, who was commended for her achievement of picking up lost items four times and returning them to their owners. In 2024, the Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company will reward 33 workers who picked up lost items and returned them to their owners for their "good people, good deeds".

Since the beginning of 2025, with this good deed, the company has rewarded 25 workers. Secretary of the Party Committee of Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company Vo Minh Duc said that, implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo, the company launched the movement "good people, good deeds" and received increasingly enthusiastic and positive responses from all cadres, party members, workers, and laborers, thereby promoting this emulation movement to spread and multiply many more typical examples.
