Spreading the spirit of innovation among farmers.

On the morning of December 17th, the Ha Tinh Provincial Farmers' Association held a conference to evaluate the movement "Farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty in the period 2021-2025; building professional farmers' branches and professional farmers' groups associated with the national target program for building new rural areas in the period 2021-2025; and implementing tasks for the period 2026-2030."

During the period 2021–2025, the movement of farmers competing to excel in production and business in Ha Tinh province continued to spread strongly and achieved many outstanding results. On average, nearly 90,000 households in the province received the title of excellent producers and business operators at various levels each year. The movement has given rise to many effective, large-scale economic models, generating incomes ranging from 500 million VND to over 1 billion VND per year.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dung – Director of Dai Tien Aquaculture Cooperative and owner of Dung Mai jellyfish purchasing and processing facility (Dong Tien commune) – suggested increasing support for farmers to access policy-based capital sources.

Farmers' associations at all levels have actively accompanied and supported farmers with capital, technology, and product consumption; directly connected the consumption of over 15,000 tons of agricultural products; and managed loan capital and entrusted bank funds with a total outstanding loan balance of over 5,185 billion VND.

The movement also clearly promotes the spirit of mutual support, helping each other to get rich and reduce poverty sustainably. On average, each year, successful production and business households create jobs for more than 36,000 workers, support thousands of poor households with capital, seeds, and technology, contributing to reducing the poverty rate in the province to 2.4%.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Huan, Director of Vietnam Deer Antler Production and Trading Joint Stock Company, suggested that the Provincial Farmers' Association should strengthen the organization of training courses, especially on digital transformation, to help farmers adapt to the requirements of production and business associated with product consumption.

During the period 2026–2030, the Ha Tinh Provincial Farmers' Association will continue to innovate and improve the quality of its activities, promoting agricultural production towards commodity production, value chain linkages, digital transformation, and sustainable development. The goal is to have over 60% of farmer households register annually, and over 50% of those households achieve the title of excellent producers and business operators; while also supporting the establishment of new cooperatives, agricultural enterprises, and contributing to Ha Tinh's early achievement of new rural standards.

During the period 2021–2025, the Ha Tinh Provincial Farmers' Association focused on building professional farmers' branches and groups based on the "5 self-reliance" and "5 collaborative" principles, contributing to the innovation of the association's operational methods and the reorganization of agricultural production towards linkages and efficiency. The province has established 653 professional farmers' groups and 32 professional farmers' branches, attracting over 5,000 members. Through regular meetings, these branches and groups create opportunities for farmers to exchange experiences, apply advanced techniques, reduce input costs, improve product quality, and gradually establish linkages in consumption, contributing to increased income and the development of new rural areas.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Chairman of the Ha Tinh Farmers' Association, Ngo Van Huynh, proposed continuing to vigorously promote the movement of farmers competing in excellent production and business in a practical and sustainable manner, linked to key products and value chain integration.

Based on the achievements made so far, for the period 2026–2030, the Ha Tinh Provincial Farmers' Association has identified the following goals: continuing to innovate and improve the quality of the movement; promoting agricultural production towards commodity production, value chain linkages, digital transformation, and sustainable development.

The goal is to have over 60% of farming households register annually, with over 50% achieving the title of excellent producers and business operators; to support the establishment of new cooperatives, agricultural enterprises, and contribute to building Ha Tinh into a new rural area as soon as possible.
