Cam Binh implements poverty reduction programs reaching down to the people.

(Baohatinh.vn) - Cam Binh commune is implementing a sustainable poverty reduction program, improving nutrition, and supporting livelihoods for poor and near-poor households and people with disabilities, aiming for sustainable poverty alleviation.

The People's Committee of Cam Binh commune recently held a conference to implement the program on diversifying livelihoods, developing poverty reduction models, and improving nutrition under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction.

The conference briefed the people on the implementation of poverty reduction programs.

The National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction is a major policy of the Party and State, carrying profound humanitarian significance, aiming to improve the material and spiritual lives of the people, especially poor and near-poor households and vulnerable groups in society. In this program, diversifying livelihoods and supporting production development are identified as key, long-term solutions to help people create jobs, increase income, proactively rise out of poverty sustainably, and prevent re-poverty.

Furthermore, nutrition improvement programs play a particularly important role for children, pregnant women, people with disabilities, and vulnerable groups, contributing to improved health, quality of life, and the quality of future human resources.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Tri, Head of the Economic Department of Cam Binh commune, briefed the local people on the relevant information.

To effectively implement the programs in the area, the leaders of the People's Committee of Cam Binh commune, along with specialized departments, organized briefings on the policies and guidelines from higher levels to the people, Party branch secretaries, village heads, and households eligible for poverty reduction policies. At the briefing, Mr. Nguyen Huy Tri – Head of the Economic Department of Cam Binh commune – directly explained and clarified the contents related to poverty reduction and livelihood support.

The briefing session aimed to provide the people with comprehensive information on the implementation of the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in the locality, thereby raising awareness and responsibility among the people in coordinating with the Party committee and government to effectively achieve the goals set by the Party and the State. At the same time, it aimed to unify solutions and methods for implementation throughout the entire political system, ensuring that the program is carried out correctly, targeting the right beneficiaries, in accordance with regulations, and achieving high effectiveness.

According to the plan, in the coming period, Cam Binh commune will organize the handover of livelihood models to 25 poor households, near-poor households, and people with disabilities in the area, contributing to creating conditions for these households to gradually stabilize their lives and rise out of poverty sustainably.
