The festival gathered 33 library delegations from provinces and cities across the country, with the participation of many publishers and book companies, contributing to spreading reading culture and arousing national pride through books rich in historical and humanistic values.
The books introduced by the Library Delegations at the Festival are not only a rich and diverse source of documents being stored and served at libraries across the country, but also a valuable and comprehensive information channel, helping viewers understand more deeply the victory of the Central Highlands Campaign; the value, historical stature and epochal significance of the Great Spring Victory in 1975; as well as the process of building, protecting, innovating and developing the country during the 80-year journey of formation and development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Hai Phong delegation participated in the Festival with three contents: introducing the book "Memories of the Central Highlands" by Senior Lieutenant General Dang Vu Hiep (Military Publishing House, 2002); introducing the model of developing reading culture "Happy Reading Hour" , and the talent competition with the dance performance "Dawn on the sea gate" .
The festival is open free of charge throughout the entire duration, serving a large number of local people, students and pupils in the city. In addition, the Organizing Committee will rebroadcast the competition programs of 33 Library Groups on the YouTube channel Books and Vietnamese Wisdom , to create conditions for the audience to follow and vote for the most favorite program.
Within the framework of the Festival, the Organizing Committee organized an exhibition of books, newspapers and documents about the Central Highlands Campaign and the Great Spring Victory in 1975; the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025); the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); along with documents about the cause of innovation and development of the country after the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. The exhibition also introduced many typical images and activities in developing a reading culture and serving lifelong learning of the library system nationwide.
The Closing, Summary and Award Ceremony of the Festival will take place at 3:00 p.m. on May 30, 2025 at the Dak Lak Provincial Cultural and Tourism Center./.
