Speaking at the workshop, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet emphasized that throughout the process of leading the revolution, our Party has always affirmed that " Politics is the soul, ideology is the foundation, organization is the means to realize the policy". Our Party is the ruling Party, comprehensively leading the State and society. The Party's strength and prestige first of all originate from political and ideological strength.
In the context of rapid, complex and unpredictable changes in the world and region, building a strong Party in terms of politics and ideology is not only an internal requirement, but also a matter of survival to consolidate and firmly develop the Party's political and ideological foundation.
This regulation of the Politburo aims to comprehensively and systematically specify the requirements, criteria, standards and guarantee mechanisms to build a Party that is truly "politically steadfast, ideologically strong, morally clean, organizationally united, and closely connected with the people".
“This is not only an opportunity to contribute ideas on wording and writing techniques, but more importantly, it is a scientific and theoretical forum to offer advice and propose strategic issues and specific tasks to perfect the theoretical and practical basis for promulgating the Regulation,” said Trinh Van Quyet, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.

Speaking at the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son, full-time member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society, said that we are entering the final stage of the preparation process for the 14th National Party Congress. Draft documents are being widely circulated for public consultation.
“For me, this is one of the very special moments when wherever I go, I hear people discussing the Party, the country, the aspirations for development and the very issues that are relevant to life. Every citizen is speaking out with a sincere, simple voice, but containing faith and expectations. What the people want most is for officials to listen to them. And this also touches the core of political and ideological work: if people are allowed to speak, officials are allowed to listen, then trust will grow; if trust is built, consensus will form and if there is consensus, any policy can be successful. Just keeping that one thing, many things will be right, will be much more accurate," Mr. Bui Hoai Son shared.
Mr. Bui Hoai Son also stated that “listening again requires innovative thinking”. If listening is just to take notes, it is not listening. Listening is opening up to different, even opposing opinions. Considering people's comments not as criticism but as companionship, considering voices from the grassroots not as objection but as valuable data for policy adjustment. In the context of the whole Party emphasizing the spirit of innovation and creativity, building a long-term vision, listening must become the starting point of all decisions.
When developing the Regulations on political and ideological work, it is necessary to emphasize and specify this requirement with clear, feasible and mandatory principles. First of all, the contact of leaders with the people cannot be based solely on conditions or optional schedules, but must be institutionalized by regular and ad hoc mechanisms, linked with accountability. Where regular contact is good, there is consensus; where people are avoided, hot spots are likely to arise. This is a lesson that is still valuable from many recent incidents - Mr. Bui Hoai Son commented.

Also at the workshop, contributing ideas to the development of the Regulation on political and ideological work, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, said that the Regulation needs to clearly affirm the current special position and role of this work to create consensus, solidarity, and high unity within the entire Party, and great national unity. The content of the Regulation must fully cover all aspects: Political education, especially education on Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought and the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; media education; ideological orientation, preventing degradation, "self-evolution", "self-specialization" and fighting against erroneous and hostile views to protect the Party's ideological foundation...
Regulations on political and ideological work must also attach importance to solutions for building clean and strong Party committees and organizations at all levels; building a contingent of cadres and Party members, especially leading cadres at all levels, with steadfast and firm political will, pure moral qualities, good at propaganda work, and the ability to apply modern technology and communications in carrying out ideological work.

Along with that, it is necessary to promote the application of information technology; strengthen the work of inspection, supervision, interim and final review, and experience drawing on the implementation of the Regulation; promptly commend and replicate good models and creative ways of doing things; at the same time, resolutely handle deviations and violations in ideological work. It is necessary to link the implementation of the Regulation with organizational work, cadres, policies and other aspects of work, in order to create unity in perception and action, contributing to firmly consolidating the Party's ideological position in the whole society.
