In recent times, the Dak Ha District Women's Union has actively implemented the model of "New Rural Ethnic Minority Women's Village", thereby attracting the enthusiastic and responsible participation of its members and women.
Thanh Xuan village, Dak Ngok commune is one of five villages in the disadvantaged ethnic minority area in the area chosen by the Dak Ha district Women's Union to build the model of "New rural ethnic minority women's village". “Along with that, we established a club for not having a third child in Thanh Xuan village with 32 women participating. The club has also accompanied the Women's Union of the commune to do a good job of propaganda to raise awareness for members and women about the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, especially the population and family planning policy. The propaganda content has been responded to and implemented by the women. Thanks to that, the awareness of women in the village has been increasingly raised, currently there are no more female members giving birth to a third child or more" - Ms. Thai Thi Ha, President of the Women's Union of Dak Ngok commune said.
In addition to participating in movements to build a cultural life and happy families, the Commune Women's Union and the Village Women's Union also encouraged members and women in Thanh Xuan Village to change their thinking and ways of doing business, boldly change the economic structure, and diversify their occupations. Thereby, the village has had many typical examples of people rising out of poverty and developing their family economy, such as Ms. Vi Thi Niem (in Thanh Xuan Village).
Ms. Niem shared: Through participating in women's movements, I learned many things such as promoting internal strength in developing family economy, choosing suitable plant varieties that bring high economic value, applying science and technology in production. In addition, I was also educated about promoting traditional family cultural values, keeping the living space clean, and paying more attention to health and physical fitness. Thanks to that, my family's life has changed for the better; I have built a house of more than 130m2, and purchased full amenities and household items.
