The Deputy Director of the Department of Finance informed about the use of a car worth about 4 billion VND by the Vinh Long Provincial Party Secretary according to the provisions of Decree 72/2023 of the Government.
On October 28, at the third quarter 2024 press conference organized by the People's Committee of Vinh Long province, Mr. Phan Thanh Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, informed about the use of a car worth about 4 billion VND by the Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee.

Meanwhile, according to Decree 72/2023 of the Government , the maximum car use for the position of Central Party Committee member is 1.6 billion VND.
According to the Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, Clause 2, Article 15, Decree 72/2023 of the Government regulating standards and norms for automobile use clearly states:
"In cases where it is necessary to equip a number of 2-wheel drive cars with large capacity among the vehicles serving the general work of ministries, central agencies, provinces and centrally run cities, it is stipulated in Clause 1, Article 9, Clause 1, Article 11 of this Decree.
To carry out the specific tasks of ministries, central agencies and provinces and centrally run cities (including: Serving the work of preventing storms, floods, natural disasters, search and rescue, disease control; preventing smuggling and trade fraud; serving the work of inspecting and supervising the implementation of economic - cultural - social fields; serving the delegations of supervision and contact with voters; serving foreign affairs, receiving international guests, picking up and accompanying domestic and foreign delegations to work; directing management activities, setting up border markers and other specific tasks), the vehicle purchase price is regulated as follows:
Each ministry, central agency, province, and centrally-run city is equipped with one vehicle with a maximum price of VND4.5 billion/vehicle and one vehicle with a maximum price of VND2.8 billion/vehicle.
"Car equipment with a valuation of more than 4 billion VND is based on the above regulations.
Currently, the Provincial Party Committee Office has a car to serve the general work of the Provincial Party Committee Office, not to equip the position of Provincial Party Committee Secretary, the car is arranged for use by the Provincial Party Committee Office", the Deputy Director of the Vinh Long Department of Finance emphasized.
