City leaders visit People's Artist Dinh Bang Phi and People's Artist Thanh Tuan

(NLDO) - The delegation of Ho Chi Minh City leaders visited, expressed gratitude and presented gifts to People's Artist Dinh Bang Phi and People's Artist Thanh Tuan.

On the morning of June 6, a delegation of Ho Chi Minh City leaders led by Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc visited and paid tribute to People's Artist Dinh Bang Phi and People's Artist Thanh Tuan.

This is a continuation of the plan to visit outstanding artists and those in difficult circumstances, and at the same time encourage groups and individuals to carry out cultural and artistic activities well on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Accordingly, the delegation visited People's Artist Dinh Bang Phi in District 1 (HCMC). Here, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc sent his regards and wished People's Artist Dinh Bang Phi good health.

"People's Artist Dinh Bang Phi has devoted his entire life to contributing to the stage, from acting with many memorable roles and especially in the role of an enthusiastic teacher teaching the profession. Especially valuable books on hát bội and teaching materials and lesson plans for hát bội as well as the merit of bringing hát bội into schools and communities so that the younger generation can join hands to preserve hát bội" - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc shared.

At the age of 88, Dinh Bang Phi's health has declined due to Alzheimer's. Despite his failing memory, he remembers all of his roles when the leadership mentions them.

Welcoming the visiting delegation, People's Artist Thanh Tuan expressed his joy and emotion at receiving the attention of the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City. He said that he was more stable after the health incident, and at the same time thanked the city's leaders for having a policy to protect the health of artists.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc respectfully listened to the thoughts and feelings, and inquired about the health of the famous singer of the Cai Luong stage. He also, on behalf of the City leaders, presented a gift of affection and wished People's Artist Thanh Tuan good health, continued to keep the passion for his profession and pass it on to the younger generation.
