(BDO) On the afternoon of June 28, at the People's Committee of Chanh My Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a working session with leaders of the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUD) on the Chanh My Eco-Urban Area project.

The Chan My Eco-Urban Area Project invested by HUD has a total area of 372.55 hectares, divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 has a total area of over 114.7 hectares; Phase 2 is 257.85 hectares. In phase 1, the project has so far reclaimed land from 516/541 households with a total area of 108.3 hectares/114.7 hectares (including 517 records), accounting for 94.37%. The remaining area that has not been cleared is 6.46 hectares, including 28 records of 24 households.

Regarding resettlement, up to now, 153 households/276 plots have received resettlement plots; 2 households/2 plots have not received resettlement plots. The progress of project infrastructure investment has reached about 94.37% according to the plan (the area that has completed site clearance is 108.3ha/114.7ha). The project includes 816 villas, 1,283 townhouses and 978 apartments.
In phase 2, from 2007 to 2014, HUD carried out compensation and resettlement support with a total area of 184.07 hectares. The project includes 1,608 villas; 1,706 townhouses; 192 resettlement units; 64 policy units and 160 low-rise apartments.
In his concluding remarks at the meeting, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units to actively mobilize and propagate households to carry out compensation and site clearance work; requested the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City to support the investor during the project implementation process.
