Component 1 of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway project has a total of 1,651 affected households, individuals, and organizations, with 194 planned resettlement cases. The occupied land area is 381.6 hectares, of which the recovered land area is 322.24 hectares. To date, the land recovery notification work has reached 83%, expected to be completed in June 2025; measurement has reached 98.73%, and counting has reached 67.6%, expected to be completed in June 2025.
The approval of compensation and resettlement support plans reached a rate of 0.23%. The total area of land handed over was 35.8/322.23ha, reaching a rate of 11.1%. In addition, there are 5 households in Phu Giao district who have not received compensation but have agreed to hand over the land. Currently, they are cutting trees and moving their assets to hand over the land for project construction with an area of 1.7ha.
For component project 1 of land clearance for Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 from Thu Bien Bridge to Saigon River, the expected land area to be recovered is 239.8 hectares; the total number of affected households is about 1,451 cases, of which about 300 cases are subject to resettlement. Up to now, the land recovery notification has reached 96%; field measurements have reached 53%, drawings have been appraised at 34%; inventory has reached 49%; compensation plans have not been approved and the site has not been handed over.
In addition, at the meeting, the units reported on the progress and difficulties in implementing compensation and site clearance for the Thu Bien - Dat Cuoc road construction project; the implementation status of Cai Cau canal (Suoi Xiep) and the culvert project across National Highway 1K, the Di An drainage system project and Tan Dong Hiep industrial park.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Bui Minh Thanh requested local Party committees and authorities to accelerate the phase of speeding up and urgently mobilizing the entire political system to participate in accelerating the progress of compensation and site clearance for project construction. In particular, units and localities focus on accelerating the progress of measurement and counting; promoting the work of building unit prices for compensation; strengthening propaganda and mobilization work so that people understand and agree to implement. Strive to achieve 90% of compensation and site clearance capital transferred to units and localities for implementation in June.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested investors, districts and cities to pay attention to arranging resettlement land funds to ensure stable lives for people in the area of complete clearance.
