Quang Nam Provincial Leaders Wish Happy New Year to the Vietnamese Association in Sekong Province

During a working trip to the southern provinces of Laos, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Nam province Nguyen Duc Dung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Nguyen Manh Ha and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan visited and extended New Year greetings to the Association of Vietnamese People and the Laos - Vietnam Friendship School in Se Kong province.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Nam province Nguyen Duc Dung and the delegation congratulated the Vietnamese Association in Se Kong province on Tet.

Here, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung discussed, learned about the lives and listened to the thoughts, aspirations and proposals of Vietnamese people living in Se Kong province. At the same time, he acknowledged the contributions of overseas Vietnamese to fostering the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos in general and the two provinces of Quang Nam and Se Kong in particular.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung encouraged the Vietnamese community living and working in Se Kong province to unite, bond and support each other for mutual development and always look towards the homeland. On the occasion of the traditional New Year of Punbimay of Lao tribes, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung wished the people good health, solidarity, bond and support each other for mutual development, building the Vietnamese community to grow stronger and stronger, contributing positively to the special friendship between the two countries.

“Currently, the Vietnamese Association in Se Kong province has 73 households with 415 people. Since 2005, the provinces and cities in the Central region have supported and built the Laos-Vietnam Friendship School. This school year, the school has 747 students at 3 levels, including 65 overseas Vietnamese students. Teachers and staff have continuously researched, helped each other to progress, maintained teaching Vietnamese to preserve traditions and made efforts to support the community to progress together.”
