This morning, two men went by boat to a farm in Ea Rbin commune, Lak district (Dak Lak) to harvest corn. While transporting corn across the Krong No river to their home in Duc Xuyen commune, the boat suddenly capsized, causing both of them to drown and go missing.
People on the shore shouted and tried to save the victim but failed.
On the afternoon of July 12, Mr. Ho Quoc Bao, Chairman of the People's Committee of Duc Xuyen Commune, Krong No District, said that the bodies of the two victims were found about 500 meters from the accident site, after more than 4 hours of searching.
Krong No is one of the big rivers, the border between Dak Nong and Dak Lak provinces. It is the rainy season in the Central Highlands so the river water is high and flowing rapidly.
