LCP 2025: GAM, MVKE, TSW who will go to CKTG 2025

The LCP 2025 Playoffs are underway with the top 6 teams competing for 3 spots to the 2025 World Championship.

Among these, Vietnamese representatives including GAM Esports, MVKE Esports and Team Secret White (TSW) are showing great ambition, determined to conquer 2 tickets to the biggest League of Legends tournament of the year.

According to the LCP 2025 format, only three World Championship spots will be awarded to the top three teams in the playoffs. These three teams will be the ones to advance to the fourth round of the playoffs, specifically the R4 P5 (Winners Bracket Finals) and R4 P9 (Losers Bracket Finals). This means that any team that makes it to the fourth round will definitely qualify for the World Championship.

GAM Esports: Leading the race to represent Vietnam at LCP 2025

GAM Esports was given a special ticket to the second round of the winner's bracket (R2 P4). This is a huge advantage as the team only needs to win one match in this round to enter round 4 (R4 P5), a guaranteed position to qualify for CKTG 2025.

If they lose the first match, GAM still has a chance in the loser bracket, however this is a match that GAM must win (R3 P7) if they want to get a ticket to CKTG. So, GAM only needs to win one of the two matches to be able to go to CKTG, which is an advantage for them to have the 6th time coming to this tournament.

MVKE Esports: A thorny road

MVKE will meet PSG in R1 P2. If they win, MVKE will meet GAM or CFO in the next round. The chance for MVKE to go straight to the 4th round of the upper bracket and get a ticket to CKTG is quite difficult when they have to meet one of the top 2 teams in LCP this year.

However, if they lose any match in the winner's bracket, MVKE will have to enter the loser's bracket and compete in at least two consecutive life-or-death matches (R3 P6 and R3 P8) to have a chance to compete for a ticket to the loser's bracket final (R4 P9). The tight schedule, high pressure and the need to maintain high performance are no small challenges for this team.

Team Secret White: What are the chances for the only team to defeat CFO?

Similar to MVKE, TSW will meet DetonatioN FocusMe (DFM), a lower-rated Japanese representative. If they beat DFM, TSW can face CFO, a team that has the right to choose its opponent in round 2. And knowing that history repeats itself, TSW will continue to beat CFO and win the first ticket to CKTG 2025, which is completely possible.

If they lose in the winning bracket, TSW will also have to enter the losing bracket and must win 2 matches like MVKE if they want to continue.

Can Vietnam have 2 tickets to CKTG?

With the current form of CFO, winning 3 tickets to CKTG seems to be very difficult for 3 representatives from Vietnam. What fans want is for the Vietnamese representative to be able to knock PSG out of the top 3 to win the remaining 2 tickets. With the financial crisis and recent poor performance of PSG, the opportunity for 2 representatives of Vietnam to be present at CKTG is extremely large.

As long as the Vietnamese representatives maintain a relaxed competitive spirit, courage and high concentration, fans can fully expect a dream LCP final match between the two regions of Taiwan and Vietnam, taking place at Tien Son Sports Palace - Da Nang next September.
