(NLDO) - The "Cho Lon Food Story" culinary festival introduces delicious dishes from the Cho Lon region, turning District 5 into a typical culinary tourism destination of Ho Chi Minh City.

On October 24, the People's Committee of District 5, Ho Chi Minh City announced the 2nd "Cho Lon Food Story" Food Festival in 2024 with the theme "Delicious noodles and cakes".

The festival is organized to contribute to promoting traditional cultural values, Vietnamese - Chinese culinary culture; introducing, honoring, and building the culinary brand "Delicious food in District 5" with the goal of making District 5 a typical culinary tourism destination of the city.

The first festival attracted more than 25,000 domestic and foreign visitors.

Ms. Dao Thi Anh Tuyet, Deputy Head of Economic Department, District 5 People's Committee, emphasized that the food festival is a place to tell stories about the culinary culture and customs of the community in Cho Lon area. This is also an opportunity for restaurants and eateries in the area to promote their brands to people and tourists, contributing to tourism development and economic development.

This year's festival will take place from December 6 to December 8, with about 50 booths, at the District 5 Cultural and Sports Center.

In 2023, the first "Cho Lon Food Story" Food Festival attracted more than 25,000 domestic and foreign visitors.
