Le Thuy: Construction of 260 houses for families of people with revolutionary contributions started

(QBĐT) - According to information from the Economic-Infrastructure and Urban Department of Le Thuy district, by May 6, 2025, the locality had started construction of 260 houses for families of people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs in the area.

The work of repairing and building new houses for families of people with revolutionary contributions has always been of concern to Le Thuy district.

According to Decision No. 21/2024/QD-TTg dated November 22, 2024 of the Prime Minister on housing support for revolutionary veterans and martyrs' relatives, through review and statistics, Le Thuy district has 415 revolutionary veterans' households and martyrs' relatives receiving housing support; of which, 120 households built new houses and 295 households repaired, with a total support cost of more than 21.4 billion VND.

Currently, the locality has started to build 260 new houses, reaching a rate of more than 62%. Of which, the total number of houses for NCC and relatives of martyrs has been completed, 135 houses, reaching a rate of more than 32%.

It is known that the People's Committee of Le Thuy district also requested that communes and towns continue to carefully review the subjects for implementation, strive to start construction of 100% of houses for NCC and martyrs' relatives before May 30, 2025 and complete on schedule; at the same time, continue to check and review the list of NCC households with the revolution and martyrs' relatives receiving housing support according to Decision No. 21/2024/QD-TTg to ensure accuracy and completeness according to regulations.
