The 8th National Ceremony to Commend Outstanding Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings

On May 17, at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials (Binh Thanh District), the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held the 8th National Ceremony to Commend Outstanding Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings in 2025.

This is an activity within the framework of the 2025 National Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings, aiming to honor typical advanced examples, towards the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.

At the ceremony, 80 outstanding faces representing 444 delegates attending the Congress from provincial, municipal, affiliated unions and various fields were commended and received the Certificate of National Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings.

Notable among them are Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Le Hung, author of 24 prestigious scientific publications domestically and internationally; delegate Nguyen Thi Hoa (Hoa Minzy), a typical young Vietnamese face in 2024 with the song "Bac Bling" that inspired and renewed the culture imbued with national identity; delegate Sung A Tua is the owner of the Tiktok channel "A Tua Phinh Ho" with 7.6 million likes, with content promoting the homeland, introducing local products and bringing some specialties to the e-commerce market...

As one of the examples being honored, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Le Hung (Gustave Eiffel University, France) shared: "When I went to study abroad, I did not know French but still decided to go. When my mother asked me if I was worried, I always said 'Uncle Ho left to find a way to save the country. I also went to find my own path'. Thanks to that spirit, I was able to overcome language and cultural barriers, self-study and excel in the academic environment in a foreign land."

Similarly, rapper Bui Xuan Truong (stage name: Double 2T) expressed his joy and honor to be a "piece" of the Congress. When he arrived here, he was inspired by the other delegates. He hopes that he will have more contributions to society.

As for music, everyone knows Double 2T is a mountain man. With his youth, creativity and passion, he always tries to convey the culture of the mountain people to the masses.

In the future, with his special musical color, the male singer hopes to bring the messages and culture of ethnic minorities in the mountainous areas in particular and of Vietnamese people in general into many musical products.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, said that, bearing in mind Uncle Ho's teachings, under the glorious flag of the Party, the youth of the Ho Chi Minh era have constantly strived to overcome difficulties, excellently completing all assigned tasks; contributing with the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army to write heroic pages of the nation's history.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, after the country's liberation, generations of young people continued to be the main force on the fronts of building and defending the Fatherland, steadfastly pursuing the path of national independence and socialism, taking the lead in the cause of innovation, integration and development.

Among them, the exemplary models to be honored are the diligent Youth Union - Association - Pioneer cadres, rural and urban youth with initiatives to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas; young civil servants and public employees with many ideas for administrative reform to serve the people; workers who innovate and create, improve productivity; young entrepreneurs who start businesses and create jobs; students who have won high prizes domestically and internationally; young scientists and intellectuals with practical inventions, and young artists who have contributed to spreading national culture; young athletes who have made their mark on the international sports arena.

The Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission hopes that young people need to constantly cultivate, practice, proactively set new goals, not be complacent, but must be proactive and pioneer in lifelong learning, master science and technology, start-up and innovate, contributing to the implementation of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

To enable youth to maximize their role, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia called on Party committees, authorities, ministries, branches, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the Youth Union to truly be a companion and a reliable reserve force of the Party.

At the ceremony, Mr. Bui Quang Huy, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union, said that throughout his life of revolutionary activities, President Ho Chi Minh always paid special attention and deep affection to the young generation.

He once affirmed: "The nucleus to gather and unite the youth, and at the same time the force directly organizing, educating and motivating the youth must be the youth organization, which is the Communist Youth Union."

Mr. Bui Quang Huy hopes that today's honors will become a source of motivation for young people to continue to strive to improve themselves and contribute more to their homeland and country.

The National Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings is held every 5 years to honor outstanding young people who have made outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

The congress was first held in 2009. After 7 congresses, up to now, 2,602 delegates have been honored. In addition to the honoring activities, delegates will participate in many exciting and meaningful exchange activities during 3 days from May 16 to 18.

In particular, the delegates will attend the ceremony to report to Uncle Ho and receive the badge "Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park. In addition, the delegates will visit and experience typical historical, cultural, economic and social sites in Ho Chi Minh City such as: Thu Thiem Creative Park, New Eastern Bus Station, Metro Line 1, Independence Palace historical site, Revolutionary tradition area of ​​the 1968 Mau Than General Offensive and Uprising, Ho Chi Minh cultural space at the City Children's House.

In addition, the delegates also participated in activities to visit and present gifts to Agent Orange victims at Hoa Binh Children's Village and Tu Du Hospital; donate works on the embankment along the Saigon River; visit the exhibition and launch the digital museum space "Uncle Ho with the youth".../.
