On May 24, at the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen, a solemn ceremony was held and a condolence book opened to commemorate former Politburo member and former President Tran Duc Luong.

At the ceremony, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh, all staff and spouses of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen respectfully offered incense and silently remembered former President Tran Duc Luong. Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh signed the condolence book, expressing his respect, deep gratitude and infinite sorrow at the passing of former President Tran Duc Luong.

Next, consular delegations, local authorities of the Northeastern provinces and the Vietnamese community in Thailand came to pay their respects, offer incense and sign the condolence book:

The Lao Consulate General in Khon Kaen delegation led by Consul General Mr. Somsack Wilaythone and his wife, along with officials and staff, came to pay their respects and offer condolences.

The delegation of the Thai-Vietnamese Association of Khon Kaen province, led by the Association's President, Ms. Dang Thi Gai, came to pay their respects and share their deep condolences.

Consular delegations, local authorities of the Northeastern provinces and the Vietnamese community in Thailand came to pay their respects, offer incense and sign the condolence book.

The delegation of the Chinese Consulate General in Khon Kaen led by Deputy Consul General Yang Ning came to pay their respects and wrote in the condolence book with the touching message: "Comrade Tran Duc Luong will live forever!"

The delegation of Khon Kaen provincial government, led by Governor Kraison Thongchalart, paid their respects and signed the condolence book with the following content: “On behalf of the Khon Kaen provincial government, I would like to express my deepest condolences on the passing of Mr. Tran Duc Luong, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. My sincere condolences.”

The delegation of Nong Khai provincial government led by Mr. Prathip Huicharoen, Permanent Secretary and Mr. Nathaphon Rathanochit, Chief of Office, came to pay their respects and shared: "On behalf of the leaders of Nong Khai province, I would like to express my deepest condolences on the passing of Mr. Tran Duc Luong, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam."

The delegation of Buri Ram provincial government led by Mr. Somburn Traliyakul, Deputy Governor, came to pay their respects and expressed their condolences: “On behalf of the leaders of Buri Ram province, I would like to express my deepest condolences on the passing of Mr. Tran Duc Luong, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.”

•The delegation of Loi provincial government led by Mr. Pairin Limcharoen, Deputy Governor and his wife came to pay their respects and share: "Sincere condolences and commemoration of comrade Tran Duc Luong, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam".

A large number of overseas Vietnamese in Thailand came to offer incense, pay their respects and sign the condolence book, expressing their deep condolences over the passing of former President Tran Duc Luong. Among them were representatives of the Thai Association of Vietnamese origin in Khon Kaen province, the One Pillar Pagoda Association, the Vietnamese Association of Phang Khon district, the General Association of Vietnamese in Thailand, the Thai-Vietnamese Business Association in Thailand, the Vietnamese Association of Udon Thani province and many other overseas Vietnamese associations.

The funeral took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere, expressing the deep gratitude and infinite sorrow of international friends, local Thai authorities and the Vietnamese community in Thailand for former President Tran Duc Luong - an outstanding son of the Vietnamese people, a staunch communist soldier, a leader devoted to the country and the people, leaving many deep impressions in the hearts of the Vietnamese people and international friends.
