This information was announced by Mr. Jesper Hassellund Mikkelsen, General Director of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam to Binh Duong Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi at a working session at LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam factory.
At the meeting, Mr. Jesper Hassellund Mikkelsen said that the LEGO factory project in Binh Duong is the fastest progressing project among the Group's factories with the same area. According to the Group's assessment, the project is being implemented on schedule and will be inaugurated on April 9, 2025.

The General Director of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam said that the project was completed on schedule thanks to the support of the Central Ministries, departments and Binh Duong province.
He hopes that the leaders of Binh Duong province will continue to accompany, create favorable conditions and promptly resolve difficulties and problems in the Group's operations in Binh Duong.
Speaking at the meeting, Binh Duong Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi congratulated LEGO on completing the project on schedule and officially inaugurating it on April 9.
Regarding unresolved issues, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi assigned the Provincial People's Committee to complete the resolution of LEGO's recommendations on electricity and fire prevention and fighting by March 30, 2025. At the same time, work with relevant ministries and branches to immediately resolve issues for investors.
LEGO's factory in Binh Duong covers an area of 44 hectares (equivalent to 62 football fields), including 5 buildings: office area, energy center, plastic injection and packaging area, automatic warehouse and other works with a total area of 150,000 m2.
The project has a total investment of 1.3 billion USD.
Currently, the LEGO Group has installed 12,400 rooftop solar panels with a total expected capacity of about 7.34 MWp, equivalent to the electricity needed for 1,270 households in one year.
The packaging line at the factory will use paper bags instead of plastic bags to package LEGO bricks. The factory also aims to create zero landfill waste, as is the case at other LEGO Group factories.
