Plan to auction land in Chua Chan mountain area for tourism

On March 10, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province announced that it had just issued a plan to auction land plots in the area in 2025. Accordingly, Dong Nai plans to auction 37 land plots to collect a total amount of nearly 21,000 billion VND (calculated according to the land price list).

Chua Chan mountain area is planned to become an attractive tourist and resort destination in the future.

In addition to the "golden" lands and potential lands that were previously planned for auction, this time Dong Nai has put a land area of ​​more than 107 hectares in Chua Chan mountain on the auction list.

Specifically, this land is planned for the Chua Chan Mountain Tourist Area project (Xuan Loc District), 107 hectares wide, the value calculated according to the land price list is 1,348 billion VND.

According to the plan, in July 2025, Dong Nai province's functional agencies will carry out the following tasks: land recovery, site clearance; planning adjustment; land allocation procedures for the provincial land fund development center; investment policy approval dossier preparation, appraisal, and approval; forest land conversion procedures preparation; auction plan preparation; appraisal and approval of auction plan.

By September 2025, the starting price will be determined, appraised, and approved; then the auction decision will be issued (October 2025); the organizing unit will be selected (November 2025); the auction announcement will be posted, the participant's records will be appraised, and the auction will be organized (December 2025).

Chua Chan Mountain Tourist Area Project is one of the key projects that Dong Nai has recently called for investors. Together with Nui Le Lake (next to Chua Chan Mountain, both in Xuan Loc District), Dong Nai wants to turn this place into an attractive tourist destination.

A few days ago, Dong Nai also approved the adjustment of the Master Plan for the preservation, restoration, and embellishment of the Chua Chan Mountain scenic relic until 2030. The scope of the adjusted planning is 250 hectares, including protected areas and traffic connection areas.

Regarding traffic connection, Dong Nai plans to add 3 cable car routes (currently there is 1 cable car route from the foot of the mountain to Buu Quang Pagoda) from the foot of the mountain in the Southeast to the top of the mountain, near the relic of the French Governor-General's Guesthouse and Bao Dai tea garden. According to Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, these cable car points are traffic hubs serving tourists to reach the top of the mountain.

In addition, 4 more mountain railways are planned to serve the travel needs, connecting the Chua Chan mountain peak areas.
