Many universities organize aptitude tests in early July, about 10 days earlier than last year, to meet the general schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training .
In the admission plan announced at the end of March, Hanoi University of Architecture said it would apply four methods, including considering academic records, based on high school graduation exam scores, aptitude test combined with high school graduation exam scores, and direct admission according to regulations of the Ministryof Education and Training.
If using high school graduation exam scores, independent candidates can use the results of 2021 and 2022, provided that the minimum admission score is equal to the standard score of the registered major in the corresponding year.
For the review of academic records, candidates must achieve an average score of 5 semesters (except semester II of grade 12) of three subjects in the admission group of 18 or higher, with no subject in the final semester below 5.
The method of combining aptitude test with high school graduation exam score consideration applies to majors with combinations marked V and H. Candidates registering for combination V will take two Fine Arts Drawing tests, each with a maximum score of 5 points. The Fine Arts Drawing test score is the total score of these two tests, and the admission score is the total score of the three subjects in the combination, in which the aptitude test is multiplied by a factor of two.
For group H, the two aptitude subjects are Fine Arts Drawing and Color Composition, graded on a 10-point scale. The admission score is the total score of the three subjects in the group, without multiplying the coefficient.
Hanoi University of Architecture opens registration for aptitude tests from April 25 to May 30, with fees ranging from 400,000 to 450,000 VND, depending on the subject. The aptitude test will take place from July 1 to 4, with the first two days being for Fine Arts Drawing, the remaining days being for Drawing and Color Composition. The specific test schedule is as follows:

This year, the quota for 18 majors and groups of majors at Hanoi University of Architecture is 2,280, an increase of 100 compared to last year. These are all key majors of the school.
Regarding the 2022 benchmark, among the majors calculated on a 30-point scale, Information Technology has the highest score with 24.75 points. On a 40-point scale, Architecture has 29 points, and Regional and Urban Planning has 27.6 points.

The University of Industrial Fine Arts also held an aptitude test in early July. Specifically, candidates took the Color Composition test on the afternoon of July 8, and the Drawing test on the morning of July 9. The admission fee is 600,000 VND.
This year, the University of Industrial Fine Arts recruits 419 candidates for 7 majors, including Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, and Interior Design. Because all 7 majors consider combinations with aptitude subjects H00 and H07 (Literature or Mathematics combined with two aptitude subjects), the school only applies the method of combining aptitude test scores with Math or Literature transcript scores in the five high school semesters (except for the second semester of grade 12).
To apply, candidates must achieve 5 points or more in each aptitude subject. If candidates have the same score, the school will give priority to the candidate with the higher total aptitude score.
The 2022 benchmark score of the University of Industrial Fine Arts ranges from 19.3 to 21.75, the highest is Graphic Design, the lowest is Ceramics.
Hanoi University of Culture has three majors: Literary Creation, Performing Arts, and Event Organization, considering the combination of N00 (Literature; Vocal Music or Dance; Music and Rhythm) and N05 (Literature, Vocal Music or Dance or Stage Plays, Event Script Development). To register for these majors, candidates must take an aptitude test on July 3-5, combined with their high school transcript scores.
In which, the academic transcript score is the average score of Literature in the five semesters (except for the second semester of grade 12), with a minimum of 5 or higher. The score of each aptitude subject is calculated on a scale of 10, without multiplying the coefficient. The admission score is the sum of the three subjects in the combination and the priority points for the region and subject. If the candidate has won prizes in art competitions, aptitude competitions or excellent students in Literature at the provincial level, the candidate will be awarded 3-7 priority points, depending on the achievement. The application submission period is from April 25 to June 8, with a fee of 350,000 VND.
In addition to this method, Hanoi University of Culture also considers admission based on high school graduation exam results, academic records, and direct admission according to the Ministry's regulations with a total quota of 1,550, equal to last year.
The school's benchmark score for 2022 ranges from 21.75 to 27.5. Of which, Journalism, Law, and Tourism and Travel Services Management, based on the C00 combination, have the highest benchmark score, while Museum Studies has the lowest.
This year, candidates can register their university admission wishes from July 10 to 30, nearly half a month earlier than last year. Previously, universities were allowed to consider admission early and announce the results no later than 5 p.m. on July 8 for candidates to register on the Ministry's system.
