Linking Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An into an attractive green tourism journey

The tourism industry of the three localities of Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, and Nghe An needs to promote cultural and ecological values to create connecting products, enhance experiences, and prolong the stay of tourists.

This is the tourism development orientation of Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu at the tourism promotion conference with the theme "Nghe An-Thanh Hoa-Ninh Binh: Green tourism journey" held on the afternoon of April 10, within the framework of the International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi 2025.

Nghe An , Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh are provinces with rich and diverse natural resources. This area converges all types of tourism with many valuable historical and cultural relics, famous scenic spots, beautiful natural landscapes such as Cuc Phuong National Park (Ninh Binh), Ben En National Park (Thanh Hoa), Pu Mat National Park (Nghe An) ...; many national and special national historical and cultural relics such as: Kim Lien-Nam Dan relic site (Nghe An), Truong Bon historical relic site (Nghe An), Hoa Lu ancient capital historical and cultural relic site (Ninh Binh), Lam Kinh historical relic site (Thanh Hoa) ...

Along with that, this is an area with many World Heritage Sites recognized by UNESCO such as Trang An World Cultural and Natural Heritage (Ninh Binh), Ho Dynasty Citadel World Cultural Heritage (Thanh Hoa), and Vi and Giam Folk Songs World Heritage of Nghe Tinh.

Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An are also lands rich in cultural values, traditional history, strong national cultural identity, and rich in unique nuances.

With potential and advantages in diverse natural and human tourism resources, the three localities are acting as a bridge between tourist regions in the country, promoting the "smokeless industry" of the whole country to develop in a green and sustainable direction.

According to the Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, tourism in the three provinces attracts a large number of visitors, but the length of stay of visitors is short, so businesses need to take advantage of suggestions and initiatives to build new, creative products, especially focusing on night tourism products because these are products that increase the length of stay of visitors in the locality.

Because the three provinces have many similarities, when building tours, routes and destinations, it is necessary to choose unique and separate tourism products that complement each other to create excitement and appeal for tourists.

In which, 3 provinces exploit green factors not only in terms of natural environment but also in terms of "green culture" aiming to arouse the feelings of tourists and local people towards tourist destinations.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province Vuong Thi Hai Yen said that sustainable tourism and green tourism are becoming an inevitable trend globally. This type of tourism not only helps protect the environment but also brings long-term socio-economic values.

The three localities have built many connecting tours such as the community discovery tour program in Western Nghe An, Pu Mat National Park - connecting with Ben En National Park Thanh Hoa - Ninh Binh - Hanoi - Northwestern provinces tourism; connecting Northwestern tourism with Nghe An via Ho Chi Minh trail and National Highway 1A; unique tours of the region connecting through ancient Vietnamese capitals (Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Ho Dynasty Citadel and Quang Trung King Temple)...

To promote the exploitation of linked tours of the provinces, contribute to positioning the tourism brand and attract domestic and international visitors, in 2025, the three localities will continue to coordinate to organize tourism promotion and advertising programs.

Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province, affirmed that with the motto "if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to be sustainable, go together", the tourism industry of the three localities will continue to coordinate more closely in the coming time to improve the quality of tourism, create competitively connected tourism products, increase the number of visitors and value for the tourism industry of all three provinces.

At the conference, delegates also contributed ideas to build the tourism image of the three provinces through linking into a green tourism journey; promoting cooperation activities, linking promotion, building and positioning the market.

In order for tourism in the three provinces to continue to develop and become a key tourist region of the country, leaders of the tourism industry of the three localities also called on investors, travel businesses and tourists to visit, learn, research and invest, as well as build unique and attractive tourism programs with the messages "Nghe An - Green Journey", "Thanh Hoa Tourism - Four Seasons of Fragrance", "Ninh Binh - The World's Leading Friendly Destination"./.
