Dreams "drift away with the water"
Every child across the country has their own dreams: to go to school every day, to play with friends or simply to have a safe school to study... But for children in the highlands, these simple dreams do not easily come true. Lack of conditions for studying, medical care and health care makes the path to their dreams seem more precarious.
The chance to reach the dream becomes even more fragile when natural disasters strike. In Dien Bien , the flash flood in early August caused severe damage to many schools in Pa Vat - Muong Luan commune: toilets collapsed, classrooms sank, fences and school gates were destroyed... The old walls are now more degraded, every time it rains, children have to study in damp, poorly lit classrooms, and there are even no toilets to use. Books and notebooks are soaked in mud, and dreams of going to school are temporarily put on hold.
Not only schools, local medical facilities were also severely affected by flash floods. At Dien Bien Dong District Medical Center, flooding and power outages made health care even more difficult. Basic medical equipment, which was already scarce, was now in severe shortage, making medical examination and treatment for children even more difficult.
Join hands to support the dreams of Dien Bien children
Understanding these difficulties, Lifebuoy has coordinated with partners and agencies to organize a series of events to provide practical support to help Dien Bien children have a new, clean, healthy and safe start in the school year. This is not only a timely action after the natural disaster, but also a boost for children to confidently return to school and continue to nurture their dreams.

Unilever Vietnam and Lifebuoy brand accompanied the Ministry of Education and Training to support the renovation of facilities for Muong Luan Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Dien Bien province, to welcome the new school year 2025-2026. In addition, Lifebuoy also built toilets and handwashing classrooms, instructing students on proper hygiene habits. Activities such as donating books and setting up knowledge cabinets create conditions for students to access a rich source of books and have a better learning space. Accompanying these efforts, Thien Long Group Joint Stock Company donated learning tools, supporting the path of knowledge so that students can confidently enter the new school year. The total value of Lifebuoy and Thien Long's sponsorship for the school is up to 500 million VND.
In parallel, Lifebuoy also focused on improving health care conditions for children and local people. Within the framework of the campaign, Lifebuoy and its partners renovated and upgraded medical facilities in Dien Bien. Notably, the inauguration of the medical station in Chieng So and Luan Gioi communes, with important items such as upgrading the examination area, building a standard toilet and hand washing area with a total value of equipment and antibacterial products up to 500 million VND.

In addition, Lifebuoy accompanies the Vietnam Young Physicians Association to organize free medical examination and medicine distribution programs for students and people, continuing the strategic cooperation journey for community health. Over the years, the Vietnam Young Physicians Association has worked with Lifebuoy to organize medical examination, consultation, and free medicine distribution programs for people in many provinces and cities across the country. In Dien Bien,

In addition, Lifebuoy and its partners visited, gave gifts and sent material support to children at the charity home, bringing warmth and encouragement right before the new school year.
The series of events in Dien Bien ended with many meaningful impressions, bringing the children here a new start of health, safety and hope. The campaign is a commitment from Lifebuoy and its partners to accompany, share and support the young generation in the highlands on the journey to conquer their dreams, while affirming that Lifebuoy's mission of For a Healthier Vietnam throughout 30 years of presence in Vietnam is still continuing.
