Landslides triggered by heavy rains in two areas of Indonesia's Central Java province last week have killed at least 18 people in total, local authorities said on Monday.

The search for the missing people is still underway.
In Cilacap city, the Disaster Mitigation and Response Agency said a massive landslide buried dozens of houses in Cibeunying village.
Rescue work was difficult because many victims were buried at a depth of 3 to 8 meters.
The landslide in Cilacap has killed at least 16 people and seven are still missing, said Mr. M. Abdullah, Head of the local Search and Rescue Department.
Footage broadcast on Monday showed excavators being deployed to the scene to dig through thick layers of earth and rock in search of victims.
Earlier on Saturday, another landslide in the Banjarnegara area left two people dead and 27 missing. About 30 houses and farms in the area were severely damaged.
