Up to now, most domestic commercial banks have announced the average lending interest rates for March, except for Nam A Bank, PVCombank, Viet A Bank, VIB and SHB, which have just announced the average lending interest rates for February 2025.

According to incomplete statistics, the bank with the highest average lending interest rate is Viet A Bank (9.71%), followed by Saigonbank (9%), Bac A Bank (8.75%)...

The group of banks with the lowest average loan level is SCB, BIDV Vietcombank...

Of the banks that have announced average lending interest rates in March, only two banks have increased interest rates, MB and Kienlongbank, with an average lending interest rate increase of 0.03%/year.

Currently, the average lending interest rate in March announced by MB is 6.92%/year; the average interest rate difference between lending and mobilization is 3.27%.

Meanwhile, Kienlongbank announced the average lending interest rate in March was 8.42%/year, with an interest rate difference of 2.69%.

Apart from MB and Kienlongbank, the remaining banks all reduced or kept the average lending interest rate unchanged in March. Of which, the number of banks reducing interest rates was overwhelming.

Bao Viet Bank (BaoVietBank) and Tien Phong Bank (TPBank) are the two banks that have reduced interest rates the most in March, with the reductions being 1.31%/year and 1.06%/year respectively, with the interest rate difference between deposits and loans being 2.3% and 2.04% respectively.

OCB, SeABank, Eximbank and Sacombank are also among the banks that most strongly responded to the call to reduce lending interest rates by the Prime Minister and the State Bank.

OCB's average lending interest rate reduction in March was 0.73%/year to 7.5%/year, SeABank reduced 0.53%/year to 7.15%/year, while Eximbank and Sacombank both reduced 0.26%/year to 6.52%/year and 6.98%/year, respectively.

Next is MSB Bank with an average reduction in deposit interest rates of 0.21%/year to 6.19%/year.

In the big4 banking group, the average lending interest rate in March at Vietcombank, BIDV and Agribank all decreased by 0.1-0.2%/year compared to January 2025.

The remaining bank in this group, VietinBank, has not announced its average lending interest rate for February and March. Previously, VietinBank announced its average lending interest rate in January was 5.6%/year.

Similarly, GPBank has not yet announced the average lending interest rate for February and March. The average lending interest rate announced by the bank in January 2025 is 6.91%/year, the difference between the average lending interest rate and the average mobilization interest rate is 1.66%/year.

However, the average lending interest rate of banks is not the interest rate applied to each specific loan. Customers need to contact the bank branch or transaction office for advice and more detailed information about credit programs and preferential programs of banks.

In addition, interest rate differentials at some banks do not include costs for required reserves, liquidity reserves, deposit insurance, operating costs and credit risk provisions.
