"Fairy tale trail" is causing a stir among young people, turns out to be a familiar destination in Da Lat

(Dan Tri) - Recently, many young people traveling to Da Lat have invited each other to Happy Hill - a coffee shop and photography complex located next to Tuyen Lam Lake - to check-in the "fairy flower road" that is causing a stir on social networks.

A familiar location by Tuyen Lam Lake suddenly becomes popular

Happy Hill (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Province) was known a few years ago, but recently, this place has suddenly made a strong comeback on the Da Lat tourist map thanks to the change in decoration style. Especially the flower road leading down to Tuyen Lam Lake - a place likened to "a fairy tale trail in the middle of the forest" or "a fairy flower road".

The restaurant is located with its back against a pine forest and facing the green Tuyen Lam Lake. The restaurant's scenery is natural and poetic, blending flowers, water, and the sky of Da Lat.

The "fascinating" point for tourists at Happy Hill is the flower path leading down to the lake, designed as a path through a blooming flower garden. On both sides of the path are hundreds of hydrangea trees with various colors interwoven with small flowers, creating a space as brilliant as a painting.

Standing at the beginning of the path, visitors can look out over Tuyen Lam Lake - the clear lake surface reflects the blue sky, sometimes hidden in the morning mist.

Having the opportunity to visit this poetic flower road, Ms. Ngoc Ngan (Tan Binh ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that there are many miniature scenes arranged here to serve visitors to take photos such as a small, pretty wooden house, a wooden bridge, a mirror, a swing in the middle of a pine forest...

"Everything is cleverly arranged, creating the feeling of being lost in a fairy tale film set. Groups of guests traveling by canoe or boat on the lake sometimes wave to customers at the restaurant, creating a lively, poetic scene that is truly Da Lat," Ms. Ngoc Ngan shared.

Ms. Ngoc Ngan also praised the service staff here. Despite the large number of customers, the drink ordering process was still quite quick and orderly.

"Another plus point is that the security guards, cleaning staff and parking attendants at the restaurant are ethnic minorities. The restaurant not only creates a livelihood for the locals but also creates sympathy with tourists thanks to its friendliness and enthusiasm," Ms. Ngan shared.

Not perfect but worth a try

Ms. Ngan also shared a few negative points that made her experience here not really complete. The entrance fee is 100,000 VND/person, including a drink, but this drink is not very special, even feels like it uses more flavoring than natural ingredients.

"The drinks here are not very diverse, only about 10 types," tourists shared.

In addition, some of the facilities here are also assessed unevenly, some miniature landscapes and photo mirrors show signs of damage and have not been repaired. Many types of ornamental plants, especially at close range, are clearly withered, reducing the poetic look somewhat when looking closely.

Ms. Minh Anh ( Dong Thap ) also just came to this place to take photos during her recent trip to Da Lat. She said that thanks to the shop having many interwoven flowers, she can take beautiful photos from every angle.

She also said that the space is quite large and has many stairs, so it takes a lot of effort for visitors to go to all the photo corners. In the morning and on weekends, the large number of visitors makes the space more cramped, affecting photography, especially in the favorite "virtual living" corners.

Sanitation issues are also mentioned by visitors, especially during peak hours. Garbage is sometimes not picked up in time, and strong winds from the lake can blow plastic cups and snack bags into the water.

Note when moving

Located about 12km from the center of Da Lat, this place is open from 7:30 to 17:00 every day (last admission time is 16:00). Visitors can easily get here by motorbike, car or taxi.

From Da Lat market area, you go west to Prenn Pass, then turn onto Truc Lam Yen Tu street, go straight for about 700m and turn onto Hoa Phuong Tim street. At the end of Hoa Phuong Tim street is Tuyen Lam lake.

The road is quite convenient, but moving is also an obstacle if visitors go by bus or large car, because the car cannot go all the way to the place. Visitors have to park far away and then walk up a long and quite steep slope, which is tiring if not used to walking.

Despite some imperfections, Happy Hill is still an attractive destination for those who want to find a romantic setting, full of flowers and wild Dalat nature.

If you know how to choose a time when there are few visitors, such as midweek or early morning, you can still fully enjoy the beauty of the flower road and the poetic coffee space by the lake.

A small note for tourists is to bring an umbrella or a thin raincoat if going during the rainy season, because the weather in Da Lat changes erratically and can interrupt your experience if you do not prepare in advance.
