(Dan Tri) - Mr. Phuc said that after lunch at the company, everyone swept the leftover chili pieces with seeds on the ground. One of these seeds accidentally grew into a plant. Up to now, the chili plant is about 3m tall and bears a lot of fruit.
Recently, social networks shared a video recording a chili plant with a surprising height. In the video, the man filmed from the base of the tree and had to climb a chair to see the top of the chili. According to the share, the chili plant is about 3m tall and has a lot of fruit. At the top, the plant continues to bloom and bear many green and red fruits.
"With a chili plant this tall, I wonder how we'll be able to harvest the fruit next year," the owner of the video happily said.
The video attracted more than 2.1 million views, received high interaction and tens of thousands of comments.
Long An : Wild chili tree 3m high, spicy like hot chili, to pick it you have to climb a chair (Video: Nguyen Van Phuc).
"This is the first time I've seen a chili plant that tall. If you look at the fruit growing on the plant, it's probably a rare chili," said a user named Tung Nguyen.
Talking to Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc (living in Long An) said that this is a chili plant growing wild on the wall of the company where he works, not a plant grown in his home garden.
"My colleagues and I often have lunch at the company. People often have the habit of sweeping leftover chili pieces with seeds onto this ground. One of these seeds accidentally germinated and grew into a plant. Since the beginning of this year, this chili plant has started to grow very fast beyond everyone's imagination," Phuc shared.
The tree grows wild along the wall, has grown thanks to rainwater and has never been fertilized, but still grows rapidly. About a week ago, Mr. Phuc and his colleagues climbed onto a chair and used a ruler to measure the height of the tree. So far, the tree is nearly 3m tall.
Seeing people saying that trees that are too tall can easily be knocked down by wind and rain, Mr. Phuc trimmed the top part. After the rain in Long An a few days ago, his colleagues in the company also told each other to build more support poles around the tree, in case the storm blew it up.
Recalling the first batch of fruit, Mr. Phuc said the fruit was big and fragrant and spicy like chili peppers. Up to now, the tree has produced several batches of fruit. The following batches, although smaller, still had delicious flavor. Seeing the tree grow so fast, everyone told each other to buy more fertilizer to take turns fertilizing it.
Whenever we want to eat chili at mealtimes, everyone in the company runs out to pick some of the peppers growing below. The higher up the tree, the more peppers grow, but anyone who wants to pick them has to climb up on a chair. Mr. Phuc said he will take care of the plants with everyone and has no intention of pulling them up to plant elsewhere.
"I was also surprised because I only posted the funny video online as a souvenir. I didn't expect many people to be interested and ask me about the seeds. However, this is just a wild chili plant. Perhaps the plant is suitable for the soil so it grows well with outstanding height, creating curiosity for many people," he said.
It is known that chili peppers, also known as rice chili, often grow in tropical countries in Southeast Asia.
This is a perennial plant with a small stem, the fruit grows in clusters of 2-3 fruits at each node. The fruit of the chili pepper is usually yellow or red, very spicy and has a characteristic aroma. The height of the chili pepper plant is usually from 0.5m to 1.5m.

Recently, plants with large fruits and outstanding height have attracted the attention of the online community.
Previously, a papaya tree with a height of more than 10m, almost as high as a 3-storey building in Binh Phuoc , caused a stir. Normally, papaya trees are 4-5m high, so this unusual height surprised many people.
The homeowner said that this is a papaya tree that grew from a seed that the family had eaten and scattered in the garden about 4-5 years ago. No one expected that the seed, which was just "planted randomly", would grow into a healthy tree.
When asked about how to care for the tree, the woman born in 1986 said there was really no special secret. She occasionally added ash to the base of the tree. Every time she pumped water from the well, she watered the tree.
In addition, the tree grows close to the wall, protected from storms and winds by the house, so it grows naturally and is not broken.
