Following the command of Major Bui Duc Phuong, Battalion Commander of the 1st Tank Battalion, the crew members quickly carried out their tasks. Although the maneuvering route had to go through many obstacles such as: rows of weaving stakes, anti-tank trenches... the tanks under the control of the crews still rushed to the finish line. Major Ngo Van Thang, Captain of Company 3 said: "The reason why the crew members' actions had to be urgent and decisive was because right from the moment they received the order, the Battalion's Emulation Team had scored the crews on: Road, maneuvering direction; driving techniques, violations when overcoming obstacles...".

The 206th Armored Brigade conducts training in complex terrain.

Attending the training of the 1st Tank Battalion, Colonel Nguyen Duc Tung, Political Commissar of the 206th Armored Brigade, explained: "The Party Committee and the Brigade's commander always promote the role and responsibility of the emulation councils - committees - teams at all levels in scoring and evaluating the results of the units implementing the targets of the emulation movement for excellent training and building a pure emulation motivation to improve the quality of training and work."

Colonel Nguyen Duc Tung added that the Party Committee and Brigade Commander determined that the emulation movement for excellent training should focus on building motivation and determination for officers and soldiers to strictly follow the viewpoints, principles, and combinations in training. The squads closely follow the goals, requirements, mottos, and methods; innovate the content and programs in training and organize drills, competitions, and sports events closely.

Therefore, in order to have a profound emulation movement for excellent training, from the Brigade agency to the units, we need to promote breakthroughs in improving the training quality of the grassroots cadres, especially those who are directly responsible for training the troops. The annual training of cadres is linked to the monthly and quarterly training emulation movements and the assault emulation movements at each stage. In addition, in the preparation and practice of training, the Brigade conducts training and fostering for cadres who have certain limitations in training experience.

We learned that this clearly shows that while the rate of young cadres newly graduated from the 206th Armored Brigade is relatively high, the preparation of lesson plans and teaching materials has not been deeply connected to practical application... To overcome these weaknesses, the Brigade regularly organizes training sessions and strictly maintains the process through field training lesson plans for military content and through political lectures before the teaching team at the agency.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trong Son, Deputy Brigade Commander, Chief of Staff of the 206th Armored Brigade, said: “Along with promoting emulation in training, the Brigade attaches great importance to the approval of lesson plans for squad-level cadres and makes plans for each month of training. Unit commanders and squad commanders attend, monitor, evaluate and comment on the results through lesson plans for each cadre according to their level. This activity has helped superiors promptly supplement knowledge and training experience for subordinates, thereby deepening the pedagogical level as well as the method of imparting knowledge and combat experience of training cadres to soldiers, achieving practical results.”

It is known that, in addition, the Brigade also promotes the emulation movement to promote technical innovation initiatives to serve training. Before each training phase, the unit organizes emulation scoring and timely commendation and rewards for high-quality training tool models, initiatives and inventions. Therefore, on average, each year the Brigade has 15-20 valuable initiative models, effectively applied in improving the quality of training.

During the process of organizing training and testing, competitions, and sports events, the Brigade's Emulation and Reward Council strictly maintains the monitoring and scoring of emulation for the squads. The Brigade officers assigned to inspect the unit are responsible for recording comments in the emulation monitoring book, and at the same time detecting issues that teachers and students need to learn from, thereby advising the Party Committee and Brigade commander to propose policies, measures, leadership, and direction to draw training experiences in the next stage.

Leaders and commanders of the 206th Armored Brigade (Military Region 4) encourage soldiers during training.

Thanks to the good organization of emulation activities and the right motivation for emulation in training, over the years, the 206th Armored Brigade has always completed its training tasks excellently, the unit has achieved absolute safety in training and exercises. The results of the examination of all subjects are 100% satisfactory, of which nearly 85% are good and excellent, many cadres have won high prizes in competitions for excellent cadres at all levels. For many consecutive years, the Brigade has been awarded the title of Excellent Training Unit by the Ministry of National Defense.
