Special 'forces' join search for victims in Lang Nu

Five police dogs from the police dog team of Border Guard Intermediate School 24 were brought to the scene in Lang Nu village (Bao Yen district, Lao Cai ) to assist in searching for the victim.

On September 12, the sniffer dog team helped authorities find two bodies buried in the devastating flash flood that occurred on September 10. Border Guard Intermediate School 24 is famous for training sniffer dogs with excellent rescue capabilities. With the ability to detect traces of people even when victims are buried under mud or rubble, these dogs play an important role in search operations. Thanks to the thorough and intensive training process, this special "force" can operate effectively in harsh conditions.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Kien, Head of the Border Guard Dog Team, said that the rescue at Lang Nu faced many challenges such as rocks, thick mud, piled up trees and scattered animal carcasses, but the dogs still did their job well.

As of September 12, 50 people from Lang Nu village are still missing. The search will continue today.
