Vietnam Poultry Association speaks out about 'fake chicken eggs' information

Recently, some social networking sites have posted false information about "fake eggs" and "double-yolk eggs".

This causes confusion and anxiety for consumers and negatively affects the production and trade of domestic poultry eggs.

According to the Vietnam Poultry Association, the purchase price of chicken eggs at the farm, which was lower than the cost price at 1,400 - 1,500 VND/egg, has now dropped to only 1,200 - 1,300 VND/egg.

Not only that, production and business establishments are facing many difficulties in selling their products. Many businesses and egg-raising households are suffering heavy losses and are at risk of bankruptcy.

The Vietnam Poultry Association said that up to now, there is no scientific evidence in the world that it is possible to produce fake eggs that have the same characteristics as natural chicken eggs.

In fact, in Vietnam, in the past and present, no fake eggs have been discovered circulating on the market.

Therefore, the Vietnam Poultry Association affirms that the information spreading on social networks about the production of fake chicken eggs in the country is completely fabricated.

The Vietnam Poultry Association recommends that authorities investigate, verify and strictly handle those who spread false information about fake eggs, which not only causes confusion and anxiety for consumers but also causes great damage to the livestock industry.
