The number of passengers at bus stations in Hanoi is expected to increase 1.5 to 2 times during the April 30 and May 1 holidays - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

On April 23, Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) said that during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, passenger traffic at bus stations will increase. The unit has prepared human resources and vehicles to increase service.

During the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, it is forecasted that the number of passengers at Transerco bus stations before and after the holidays (from April 30 to May 4) will increase, about 1.5 to 2 times higher than on weekends.

Before and after the holiday, focusing on the afternoon of April 30, the morning of May 1 and May 4, passenger traffic is expected to increase sharply on bus routes with terminals or routes connecting major bus stations such as Giap Bat, My Dinh, Gia Lam, Nuoc Ngam, Yen Nghia... Along with that are routes to transfer stations such as Long Bien, Cau Giay, Nhon... (Routes: 01, 03, 06, 11, 15, 16, 17, 20A, 32, 92, 101, 103...).

During the holiday (April 30 to May 3), the number of passengers mainly concentrated on routes connecting entertainment areas and commercial centers, such as Thu Le Park, Thong Nhat Park, Water Park, Aeon Mall Long Bien, Ha Dong, Royal City, Times City...

To meet the travel needs of the people, Transerco will maintain the current schedule of the entire network during the holiday (operating 791 vehicles/day with 9,269 trips/day). Along with that, the unit will arrange 34 vehicles on standby.

Transerco also requires its affiliated units to organize operations, assign on-duty schedules to increase passenger clearance at assigned locations; be proactive in operating bus routes, ensuring stable routes and service standards provided to customers.

At the same time, decorate the headquarters, strengthen patrol and protection work, especially, carry out well the work of fire prevention and fighting on the route as well as at the unit, ensure political security, social order and safety, traffic safety, and provide good services to the people.
