Urgent note on the last day of registration for grade 1 and grade 6 in Ho Chi Minh City

All students entering primary school, including those applying to advanced and special schools, must register for admission on the system.

The admission process for first-level classes in Ho Chi Minh City is conducted online at http://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn.

Parents can use the additional address: https://tuyensinhdaucap2025.hcm.edu.vn/ to avoid overload.

Regarding the time for enrollment registration, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that by 5 p.m. today (May 19) at the latest, parents of students must access the city's primary enrollment page, select the district to submit their application, and accurately determine the enrollment target.

Parents log into the city's primary school admissions website using the student's personal identification code and the password is the date, month, and year of birth.

According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, in this year's primary school enrollment, there are 2 types of enrollment subjects including subject 1 and subject 2.

Subject 1: Priority admission for the following cases:

For grade 1: Students have current residence in the area and are within the prescribed age.

For grade 6: Students whose current residence is in the area, have completed primary school and are within the prescribed age.

Subject 2: Students who wish to study in an area other than their actual residence.

For this subject, the Steering Committee for Primary Admissions of Thu Duc City and districts need to issue documents clearly defining the subjects that are given priority for admission, creating a legal basis for classification.

In particular, priority can be considered for admission in order of specific cases of each area such as students who have completed preschool or primary school in the area; students whose father or mother works in the area; students whose current residence according to VNEID is in the border areas between districts, towns and Thu Duc city; students transferring from province to province; students in specific cases of the locality.

Students in category 2 must ensure the conditions for enrollment registration on the city's enrollment system and meet the criteria in the local enrollment plan.

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City also noted that when registering for admission under category 2, parents need to carefully study the city and locality's admission plan, and at the same time prepare sufficient evidence to update the online system.

Non-priority cases will be considered last, based on the remaining quota of the schools and the decision of the local Primary Admissions Steering Committee.

Recently, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City also issued an urgent notice regarding the scam of impersonating admissions officers to call parents to collect personal information and provide false information about primary school admissions.

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City affirmed that the department, as well as schools and the enrollment support team, will not proactively call parents directly to discuss enrollment at the beginning of the school year for any reason.

All official enrollment information will be publicly announced on the website: tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn and the school websites or sent in writing through the school.

Parents should be wary of anyone calling asking for their or their student's personal information, especially bank account information, OTP codes or unofficial charges.
