Many medical and pharmaceutical schools consider academic records.

In 2024, candidates can apply for admission to medical schools in many ways such as: high school graduation exam scores; high school transcripts; competency assessment test scores... In addition to the traditional method of considering the graduation exam scores of the B00 combination of Math, Chemistry, Biology, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Hanoi National University) uses the method of considering the results of the competency assessment test organized by Hanoi National University. Candidates who choose to consider transcripts can find out that Hanoi University of Pharmacy considers transcripts for admission to Pharmacy major according to 2 options: Admission by combining high school academic results with SAT/ACT certificates; considering transcripts of excellent students in specialized classes of Math, Physics, Chemistry.

Phenikaa University reserves 30-40% of its quota for admission based on academic transcripts for majors in the health sector. The school considers the academic transcripts of 3 semesters (grade 11 and semester 1 of grade 12).

Van Lang University requires candidates applying for Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy to achieve a total score of 24 points or higher in the three admission subjects, with good academic performance in grade 12. Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology require a score of 19.5 and a grade 12 academic performance of at least Good. Candidates can submit their application using their grade 12 academic records or using their grade 11 and semester 1 grades.

Dai Nam University plans to reserve 65% of the total 1,250 quotas for the Health sector to consider admission based on academic records for the three majors of Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing.

Currently, there are 67 schools nationwide training in the Health sector. According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , candidates applying for admission to the Health sector based on their academic records must have excellent academic performance in grade 12, or have a graduation score of 8 or higher. For some majors, candidates must have good academic performance in grade 12, or have a graduation score of 6.5 or higher. Many private schools base on this regulation to set minimum requirements for candidates in this group of majors. For the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores, candidates must meet the input quality assurance threshold set by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Note to candidates in this group, Dr. Vo Thanh Hai - Vice Principal of Duy Tan University (Da Nang) said, if you look at the "competition" rate of the health sector, it will be seen that it is not as high as economics or information technology... but this is the sector that concentrates the most excellent candidates. Candidates who want to apply for Medicine and Pharmacy must have a score of 25 or higher, so they must consider their academic ability, if they are really good, then apply.

In 2023, the minimum score for majors in the group of university-level teacher training majors is 19.0 points (for physical education, music education and fine arts education, it is 18.0 points). Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 uses 7 admission methods, including the admission method using high school academic results for all majors. For preschool education, physical education and sports management, Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 will consider combining academic records with aptitude test scores.
