Gianluigi Donnarumma 's future is the focus of British and French sports newspapers, in the context of the contract renewal process being stalled for many weeks now.

According to sources from England, Man City are discussing a transfer with the Champions League champions.

The offer from Man City really caught the attention of Donnarumma and his representative.

Recently, PSG made a new offer to Donnarumma, with a salary increase clause but it is a fluctuating number, not a fixed one.

Specifically, PSG requested that the Italian goalkeeper's new salary depend on the number of matches he participates in.

That’s why Donnarumma is in no rush to sign the deal. Before joining PSG for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup – a tournament they lost to Chelsea in the final – he admitted he wanted to test himself in the Premier League.

Now, Man City are opening the door for the 26-year-old goalkeeper to come to English football.

Man City are set to part ways with Ederson – who has been linked with a transfer by Galatasaray – so Pep Guardiola needs a top goalkeeper to replace him.

Pep Guardiola had targeted Diogo Costa, but Porto refused to negotiate. Instead, the Portuguese representative demanded a contract termination fee of 75 million euros.

The cost of Donnarumma is estimated to be lower than this figure. Because, the Italian captain only has one year left on his contract with PSG.

The Paris capital team does not want Donnarumma to leave for free next year, similar to Kylian Mbappe, so they are ready to sit at the negotiating table with Man City.

For his part, coach Luis Enrique is targeting Lucas Chevalier of Lille. This 23-year-old goalkeeper is considered to be Mike Maignan's successor in the French national team in the future.
