Vivaldi & Beethoven Concert with the participation of Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji - Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra since 2009.

The program opened with Antonio Vivaldi's famous concertos: Spring (La primavera, RV 269) and Summer (L'estate, RV 315) performed by violinist Chuong Vu. If in Spring , the timbre is bright and bustling like the chirping of birds or flowing streams, spreading a feeling of clarity and vitality, then when moving to Summer , the sound of the violin becomes tense and compressed, depicting the heat and fatigue of a summer day and then exploding violently in a storm that is both graceful and dramatic.

Next are Autumn (L'autunno, RV 293) and Winter (L'inverno, RV 297) performed by violinist Do Phuong Nhi, combined with the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra and concertmaster Ta Khanh Linh, creating a lively, complete and emotional musical space. In Autumn , the warm, melodious sound of the violin, rich in folk colors, evokes a joyful harvest festival scene and then gently lulls the audience into a deep sleep in the wine. In Winter , the sound becomes cold and sharp like the cold winds and snow, but there are also moments of calm and subtlety, depicting the fragile and magical beauty of winter.

In Part II of the program, the audience enjoyed Ludwig van Beethoven's Concerto for Three Instruments in C Major, Op. 56 – one of his most unique works, a subtle blend of symphonic and chamber music.

People's Artist Bui Cong Duy, cellist Denis Shapovalov and pianist Luong Khanh Nhi have together created a dialogue-filled trio, both brilliant and profound.

Bui Cong Duy’s violin was clear and elegant; Denis Shapovalov’s cello was warm and powerful; and Luong Khanh Nhi’s piano was delicate and flexible. The three instruments blended perfectly, handling challenging musical phrases with delicacy while demonstrating a deep sense of the piece’s spirit. The entire performance was like an emotional conversation, sometimes gentle and intimate, sometimes passionate and explosive, demonstrating the excellent harmony of experienced artists.

Under the precise and inspiring leadership of concertmaster Meritorious Artist Dao Mai Anh and Conductor Honna Tetsuji, the entire orchestra became a solid foundation, fully honoring the harmony and talent of the three soloists. The performance clearly depicted the humanistic spirit and resonance in Beethoven's music - where three separate voices blend into a common, powerful and vibrant voice.
