Man Utd hosted Aston Villa at home in round 19 of the Premier League. Coach Ten Hag's team did not play well in the first half, with a lackluster attack and poor defense, leading to a 2-0 lead for Aston Villa after the first 45 minutes.
The visitors' goals were scored by McGinn in the 21st minute and Dendoncker in the 26th minute.
It was thought that Man Utd would suffer their 9th defeat in the Premier League this season. However, the unexpected happened in the second half, Man Utd played explosively, creating the best second half of the match since the beginning of the season.
Alejandro Garnacho put the ball in the net of Aston Villa in the 48th minute but the goal was disallowed by VAR. However, the young Argentine player affirmed his scoring fate with goals in the 59th and 71st minutes.
Meanwhile, Rasmus Hojlund scored his first goal in the Premier League when he scored against Aston Villa in the 82nd minute, which also sealed a 3-2 victory for Man Utd.
After round 19 of the 2023/24 Premier League, Man Utd has 31 points, ranking 6th, Aston Villa is still ranked 3rd with 39 points.
