During the backstage conversation on the day of her daughter's MV Bac Bling's release in her hometown in Bac Ninh , Ms. Vu Thi Lien - singer Hoa Minzy's mother - had to stop many times, her eyes red.

According to her, inheriting the singing passion genes from her mother and grandmother, Hoa Minzy was a talented artist in the village from a young age.
At the age of 3 or 4, Hoa participated in a singing contest in Que Vo district. At the age of 5 or 6, Hoa performed at a summer camp, and the whole village went to watch.
They said, "This family has a daughter named Hoa who sings well. She will become a singer in the future." Hearing that, Lien's mother was happy and proud, laughing out loud.
I was so passionate about music that I asked my parents to let me take the entrance exam to the Military University of Culture and Arts, but I lacked the points so I studied at the Hanoi College of Culture and Arts.
Ms. Lien cooks for a company and earns 1.9 - 2 million VND per month. If there is leftover food, she brings it home for the whole family to eat.
She said that despite the hardships and many children, she and her husband still tried to send their children to school. When Hoa and her sister went to Hanoi to study (Hoa's older sister studied at the Banking Academy - PV), the family had to borrow money from the bank to be able to send 4 million VND per month to their children.
One day, Ms. Hang (Hoa's older sister) called home crying, "Mom sent several hundred thousand for food, Hoa took the money and spent it all." The child cried, and the mother cried too. It turned out that Hoa had to take a semester exam and rent a costume, which also cost her food.
When he knew his sister was crying because of him, Hoa decided to work extra, singing at coffee shops and tea rooms. He earned a few hundred thousand a night, which was so hard that his neck was broken. He went to school during the day, and sang at night. And so on.
When she was at home, Hoa was fattened by her mother, weighing 48-50kg, but one day when she saw her child again, seeing how skinny she was, she burst into tears.
After that, Hoa moved to Ho Chi Minh City and competed in one game show after another. Worried about her son, she and her husband took turns living with him. Hoa's father also worked as a security guard with a salary of 6-7 million VND/month. One day, when he came home from the familiar face competition , he saw his son lying on the floor, not knowing what was happening.
During the Star Academy competition, Hoa Minzy and Hoang Yen Chibi entered the next round. When Ms. Lien got home from work, she went to every internet cafe she could find to ask the people sitting there to vote for Hoa Minzy.
She added that the villagers of Lac Xa and Que Vo also bought phone cards to support Hoa at that time. When she went out, wherever she went, people called her "singer's mother", making her feel very proud.
"Thank God, ancestors and the profession bless, the profession chooses people, to be able to be like today is also a blessing for her", Ms. Lien confided.

The day she heard her son boast about his idea to make the MV Bac Bling , she said, "Okay, son, do as much as you can, don't try too hard," but Hoa said, "No, if you've decided to do something, do it thoroughly. If you don't do it half-heartedly or if people criticize you, I won't do it."
Of the nearly 300 people who participated in the MV, all were from the village, including her aunts and uncles, but not Hoa's siblings or parents. Ms. Lien said that her family was in charge of the crew's backstage at that time. They waited for their child to "instruct" them to do something and then followed it.
"She is the type of person who is willing to start over from the beginning if she does something wrong," she said. "Sometimes I want my daughter to be less perfectionist so she can have less trouble, so I love her even more."
She said people often classify her daughter's profession as "a lowly singer". "Because their family has no children or grandchildren following this profession, they do not understand. Only when they do, will they realize that this is a difficult profession. It looks splendid and sparkling, but there is a lot of hardship, ingratitude and gossip", Ms. Lien confided.

"They said Hoa seduced Cong Phuong. A man and a woman love each other, what sin did my daughter commit that people are so mean to her?" she said. "At that time, I felt so sorry for her. She was sad all day, hiding in her room. I even planned to write a letter to explain so that the public would understand and forgive my daughter."
At that time, the singer was new to the profession and not as famous as she is now. She was most afraid of scandal, so she kept everything to herself.
In her mother's eyes, Hoa Minzy is now an adult, speaking and thinking clearly. When writing something, she thinks carefully, discusses it, and then posts it. Hoa takes care of all the money in the house. She also said that Hoa raises and teaches her children very skillfully and thoroughly.
