Microsoft is bringing similar ChatGPT technology to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

This toolset is capable of supporting the editing, summarizing, creation, and comparison of documents. New features promise to enable users to transcribe meeting notes in Skype, summarize long email threads to quickly draft replies, request the creation of a specific chart in Excel, and convert Word documents into PowerPoint presentations in seconds.

In addition, Microsoft also introduced Business Chat. This acts like an assistant, capable of recognizing the content of emails, as well as user documents and presentations. Users can ask Business Chat to perform tasks such as writing reports by summarizing all documents or composing emails.

Microsoft's announcement comes about a month after the company integrated AI into its Bing search engine and Edge browser.

Not long ago, rival Google also introduced a series of AI tools in Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
