Microsoft is about to release Age of Empires Mobile for iOS and Android

According to Neowin , in preparation for this milestone, the game's official website has also launched, bringing the gameplay trailer of the game. The game is being developed by Timi Studios and currently iOS and Android users can pre-register. Those who pre-register will also receive some additional in-game items when Age of Empires Mobile launches.

The website says the game will launch with four civilizations (French, Roman, Chinese, and Byzantine). Players will also be able to play as historical figures such as Barbarossa, the Queen of Sheba, and more.

Microsoft also released a second trailer that delves a little deeper into the game's development. Many of the developers at Timi call themselves "huge fans of the Age of Empires series." A notable element of the Mobile version of the game includes large-scale battles where hundreds of online gamers will play together.

Age of Empires Mobile also features PvP combat and emphasizes pre-battle features that are not typically found in the PC or Xbox versions of AoE. Single-player fans can also play the game on their own, build their empire, and explore dungeons on their own.
