On the morning of November 12, 2024, at the seminar "Vietnam and AI: Moving from policy to action" organized by World Bank Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of MISA Joint Stock Company (MISA) participated in sharing experiences on applying artificial intelligence (AI) and promoting innovation of MISA.
The event was attended by Mr. Bui The Duy - Deputy Minister of Science and Technology (MOST); Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Deputy Director of High Technology Department, MOST ; Ms. Kathleen Whimp - Project Operations Director , World Bank (WB) along with AI experts and representatives of Vietnamese technology enterprises.
Sharing about MISA's experience in applying AI, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang - Vice Chairman of MISA's Board of Directors affirmed that MISA has now comprehensively applied AI to the company's activities from product development, marketing - sales, operations management to customer care.
Specifically, for software development, MISA applies AI tools such as GitHub to speed up programming, helping to increase productivity by 1.5 times. For customer consulting, MISA successfully developed the MISA AVA Artificial Intelligence Assistant in the form of a chatbot, supporting automatic responses to customer inquiries, helping care and support to be quick, timely and effective. For sales and marketing, MISA applies the MISA AVA assistant along with some popular AI tools such as Chat GPT, Fliki... to write email marketing content, advertising, graphic design, helping to increase work productivity.
Not only effectively applying AI to the company's own operations, MISA also applies AI to digital platforms for deployment to customers. Accordingly, MISA has successfully integrated the MISA AVA AI assistant into digital solutions such as the MISA AMIS Unified Enterprise Management Platform developed by the company. "With nearly 1 million businesses today, mainly small and medium enterprises (SMEs), MISA realizes that to help them take advantage of AI, we need to integrate this technology directly into the software that customers are using," said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang.
With the MISA AVA assistant integrated into the MISA AMIS platform, customers can automate manual tasks such as data entry, bank transaction queries, identifying and extracting candidate information from CVs, building customer approach scenarios, taking notes on important information during the exchange with customers... helping to save up to 80% of working time. In addition, MISA AVA also supports business leaders to query and quickly view data, reports, analysis,... intuitively with just a text or voice command, and has the ability to analyze and forecast based on data, helping leaders make immediate and effective decisions.
The potential of AI in practical applications is huge. However, developing AI products is not easy, requiring a highly qualified workforce. “To meet this requirement, MISA has established an AI research center, connecting and cooperating with international experts to learn from experience. At the same time, MISA is also actively recruiting and training young, potential students to supplement resources in the field of AI,” said Mr. Hoang.
To support technology enterprises like MISA to develop breakthrough AI products, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang also made recommendations and proposals to the Government . Firstly, MISA expects the Government to continue to support and improve the training of high-quality human resources in the field of AI to create a foundation for technology enterprises to have a strong AI team. Secondly, the cost of using AI tools is currently quite high, so MISA proposed that the Government build AI Centers and have policies to support the import of high-tech equipment to reduce costs for businesses.
At the end of his speech, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang emphasized that AI is affecting businesses around the world. Businesses that do not adapt to the AI wave are at high risk of falling behind and losing their competitiveness. With 30 years of strength in the technology field, MISA is a pioneer in maximizing the application of AI capabilities to increase work efficiency for MISA itself and its customers, contributing to promoting Vietnam forward in the digital age.
