Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has recently officially announced the launch of the all-new hybrid urban SUV – Mitsubishi Xforce HEV 2026. The car will be sold in three versions: Ignite, Ultimate and Ultimate X. In terms of appearance, the new 2026 Mitsubishi XForce HEV will retain the same dimensions as the petrol version, with a length of 4,390 mm, a width of 1,810 mm, a height of 1,660 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,650 mm.
The only difference is the ground clearance of 183 mm, lower than the 222 mm on the regular Xforce models. However, the XForce HEV still has some minor differences compared to the standard version. Specifically, the car has some unique decorative details on the front/rear bumpers, smoked headlights and taillights, and two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels. The HEV version logo appears on the grille, front doors, and rear of the car. Inside the cockpit, the design has not changed much compared to the standard XForce models. The main difference comes from the electronic gear lever and a new display interface dedicated to the hybrid system. Amenities such as the Yamaha sound system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity remain the same.
In terms of safety technology , the Mitsubishi XForce HEV is equipped with the Diamond Sense driver assistance package, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and many other features. The car has 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera system, and parking sensors. The main difference between the Mitsubishi XForce HEV and the standard version is the e:Motion hybrid powertrain. This is the same system on the Xpander HEV and Xpander Cross HEV launched in Thailand in 2024. Specifically, the Mitsubishi XForce HEV uses a 1.6L Atkinson cycle engine combined with a 1.1kWh battery and an electric motor, for a total capacity of 114 horsepower and 255Nm of torque. The car only has front-wheel drive, with an e-CVT gearbox. Mitsubishi says the hybrid system on the XForce HEV has been upgraded from the Xpander HEV, with a completely new two-speed gearbox that improves transmission efficiency along with a function that disconnects the electric motor from the drive shaft at high speeds. This upgrade helps the car achieve better energy efficiency with an average fuel consumption of about 4.09 liters / 100 km.
Unlike the standard version assembled in Indonesia, the Mitsubishi XForce HEV will be manufactured in Thailand. The hybrid version has 7 driving modes, 3 more than the regular version, including: Normal, Charge, EV, Wet, Gravel, Tarmac and Mud. The car is also equipped with Active Yaw Control traction control system, helping to improve performance in difficult road conditions. The price of the 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce HEV for three versions: Ignite, Ultimate and Ultimate X, ranges from 899,000 to 1,089,000 baht (equivalent to 727 million to 880 million VND). The car has 6 exterior paint color options, including pearl white, silver, gray, black, yellow and red.
