During the State visit to Belarus with General Secretary To Lam , Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly visited a Vietnamese language class at the Vietnamese Embassy in Belarus.

The Vietnamese class is for second and third generation Vietnamese students born and raised in Belarus. The class was established in July 2016, with about 20 students aged 7-14.

Touched by the children's affection, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly assessed this as a bright spot of the Vietnamese community in Belarus, when the love for Vietnamese language and national culture is nurtured and preserved.

Madam Ngo Phuong Ly shared that "the enduring vitality of the Vietnamese language" is not only a means of communication, but also a sacred thread connecting generations of Vietnamese people abroad with their national roots.

To preserve and spread Vietnamese identity and the Vietnamese language, we need the cooperation and consensus of families, communities, embassies and representative agencies.

Giving a Vietnamese bookcase of 124 books, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly hopes that this small gift containing great affection will add joy and motivation to the children of Vietnam when learning about images, language and writing.

Teacher Phuong Dung, in charge of the class, emphasized that the gift of the Vietnamese bookcase from the Madam has great significance for the Vietnamese class in Belarus. She said that one of the difficulties in organizing Vietnamese classes abroad is the lack of textbooks.

The Vietnamese bookshelf shows the affection, care and encouragement not only from the Madam herself but also from the Party and State for Vietnamese people abroad.

The students then surprised the First Lady with pictures they drew of Uncle Ho with lotus flowers, and pictures of the General Secretary and his wife with the flags of Vietnam and Belarus.

Visiting the National Art Museum of Belarus, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly heard an introduction about the history of formation and development as well as listened to stories about the difficult years of the Museum after the war.

The museum was built in 1939 and currently houses more than 37,000 artifacts including ancient paintings, sculptures, wood carvings, textiles, 19th-century paintings, decorative and applied arts, and 20th-century art.

Museum Director, Ms. Anna Kononova expressed her love for Vietnam and shared about her trip to Nha Trang and Da Lat as an artist to depict the beauty of the country and its people.

In her guestbook written at the museum, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly expressed her admiration for the dedicated people here who patiently restored and revived each work for the public to admire.

The General Secretary's wife hopes that in the coming time, the two sides will strengthen cooperation to exchange and share each country's culture, thereby contributing to promoting the newly established Strategic Partnership to further develop....
