Accordingly, people aged 70 and over will receive Tet gifts.

Every year, the province has given thousands of gifts to policy beneficiaries such as: poor households, war invalids, martyrs... However, the resolution regulating the giving of gifts to social policy beneficiaries and other beneficiaries on the occasion of the Lunar New Year every year in Quang Ninh province for the period 2026 - 2030 of the Provincial People's Council is the first time that elderly people aged 70 and over have received gifts. This gift has great spiritual value, showing the outstanding policy of Quang Ninh for the elderly in particular and the people in the province in general, so that we not only have a full, happy and warm Tet, but also enjoy the fruits of development. At the same time, it encourages the elderly to actively participate in local activities, contribute to building the homeland, and promote their exemplary role in the family and society.

In particular, to better care for the elderly, the 14th Provincial People's Council passed a resolution regulating the giving of gifts to social policy beneficiaries and other beneficiaries on the occasion of the Lunar New Year every year in the area for the period 2026 - 2030 at the 33rd Session (special session). Accordingly, the whole province is expected to have 72,000 people aged 70 and over receiving Lunar New Year gifts with a total cost of 21.6 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Hong, Deputy Head of the Provincial Elderly Association, said: The Elderly Association currently has over 156,000 members, of which 70% are 70 years old or older. This policy has practical, deeply humane meaning and wide coverage. At the same time, it is a great source of encouragement for the elderly to always uphold their sense of responsibility, be exemplary leaders, increasingly affirm their role and position in society, become a reliable support for the Party Committee, government and the young generation, contributing to building an increasingly rich, civilized and happy province.
