A turtledove, a wild animal, successfully raised in Quang Ninh, flies back and forth.

While still in the cage, the dove had its tail cut short, but after more than a month, its tail feathers grew long and beautiful. Mr. Ngo Van Kien, a dove lover in Mao Khe, said: That is a beautiful dove, because the bird has a "small head, curved beak, high beak, crossed wings, and a wide chest"...

Dove keepers often lock doves in peach-shaped cages. If they are not careful, the dove will escape and fly away.

However, there are also turtledoves that can be raised. Some brothers in the regular militia squad in Mao Khe ward (Dong Trieu) raised 3 turtledoves and due to carelessness, one escaped from the cage. The brothers were stunned with regret because it was a turtledove that sang very well...

But three days later, the dove escaped from its cage and flew back, landing in the yard to eat rice with some pigeons and a flock of bantam chickens.

Then in the following days, every time the brothers threw a handful of rice into the yard for the pigeons and bantam chickens to eat, the dove would fly back and tiptoe to eat the rice.

While eating, he sometimes flew up to the top of the bamboo bush, sometimes flew up to the high jackfruit tree branch and happily crowed in a simple voice: Cúc cúc cúc...

During the day, the dove hovers around the branches of the jackfruit tree, the Indian laurel tree, or the bamboo clump, crowing with the other doves in the cage. At night, it sleeps in one tree, sometimes in another, never staying in one tree, but never flying far.

The escaped dove still comes back to the yard to eat rice every day.

The turtledove that flies down to the yard every day to eat rice makes everyone happy. Because it is no different from a free-range bird. Especially on holidays, the brothers often bring the caged turtledoves here to sing and the turtledove that is free standing on the tree also joins the orchestra very cheerfully.

Raising doves is attractive because of their rustic singing, evoking the echoes of the countryside. Doves eat mainly rice, occasionally fed a little other food such as green beans and sesame to nourish their bodies.

Doves also need to be bathed, but not in water, but in sand and sun to remove insects from their feathers...
