On social media, a family in Tan Phu town posted an announcement, welcoming, providing free lunch and accommodation for parents and students coming to Tan Son High School to take the 10th grade entrance exam.
These images received much praise and love from the online community and were shared with thousands of positive comments and admiration for the family's kindness.
According to the reporter's investigation, the family with the above kind heart is the couple Nguyen Van Ha (37 years old) and Ha Thi Thuy (31 years old).
Mr. Ha said that he had also taken the exam and had received a lot of help from people near the exam site. When they heard that there was an exam site near their house, the couple discussed helping parents and students who came here to take the exam. To prepare well for the children to rest and have a comfortable mindset to do well on the test, the family also cleaned the house before the exam day. Early in the morning, the couple went to the market together, bought food and cooked a simple meal for the children.
"The house is small, but having parents and children come to stay creates a joyful atmosphere. With little money and a lot of heart, I hope the children will do well in the exam and achieve their wishes, as well as their families'," said Mr. Ha.
Sharing more about the reason for doing this, Mr. Ha said that Tan Son is a mountainous district with a large area, many students' families live far from town, so the road to the exam location is difficult and arduous. Along with that, the weather in the past few days has been hot and sunny, with sudden rain, which can easily affect the health of the children. Therefore, he and his wife decided to cook for the parents and candidates, hoping that their work can support and help the children in some way.
Mr. Nguyen Van Minh (Thu Cuc commune, Tan Son district) shared that his house is nearly 20km from the exam site. Many days before the exam day, he also looked for a place to stay for lunch but received notices that there were no rooms available. Fortunately, he and his children, along with many other families of candidates, were able to rest, eat and listen to funny stories, helping the children to reduce stress and feel comfortable entering each exam session.
"Mr. Ha's family welcomed us very happily and enthusiastically and cooked delicious meals for everyone. In particular, the members of Mr. Ha's family always encouraged the children to do well in their exams, so that they can enter public high schools to ease their parents' burden. We really don't know what else to say, we can only thank the family!", Mr. Minh shared.
The entrance exam for grade 10 of Phu Tho province's high school for the 2025-2026 school year took place from June 3-5 with nearly 23,000 candidates participating. Phu Tho province established 36 examination councils. Candidates will take 3 subjects: Literature, Math, English. If candidates take the exam at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, they will take an additional specialized subject. According to data from the Departmentof Education and Training of Phu Tho province, on the first day of the exam, a total of 260 candidates were absent in Math and Literature. Today (June 4), candidates will take the English exam, with a 60-minute test duration.
