MU happy that Harry Maguire stays?
Centre-back Harry Maguire has spoken out for the first time about the pressure he has endured and has vowed to "fight" to regain his place at MU.
Yesterday (September 13), the England team won an impressive 3-1 victory on Scotland's field.
However, this was an incomplete match for Harry Maguire personally, he scored an own goal causing the away team to receive the only goal.
Harry Maguire was booed by Scottish fans in the stands when he came on as a substitute. This was further exacerbated by his own goal.
In an interview with The Sun , the 30-year-old midfielder said that this did not affect him much because he could cope with the pressure.
“Well, it takes the pressure off my teammates and puts it all on myself! It definitely makes them play better.
I have been captain of MU for nearly 4 years and have been through a lot. I can't say I am used to the pressure but I can handle it."
Harry Maguire has had a difficult year, losing his starting position at Manchester United under Erik Ten Hag. Last summer, he lost the captaincy and almost moved to West Ham.
However, the deal eventually fell through and Maguire insists United were happy he remained at Old Trafford.
“We did not reach an agreement with West Ham. On the MU side, they were happy that I stayed. On the other side, I was also happy to stay and fight for an official position.
I will practice hard and every time I get on the field, I will try my best."
Harry Maguire has not started any match in the new season. He only came on as a substitute in the 1-3 loss to Arsenal in the 4th round of the Premier League.
In the next round, Maguire and his teammates will host Brighton, before opening the 2023/24 Champions League with an away trip to Bayern Munich.

MU owns the most "expensive" squad in the world
Since Sir Alex retired, MU has gradually lost its position on the English football map. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Red Devils have had to spend a huge amount of money on transfers.
In fact, according to detailed statistics from the International Center for Football Studies (CIES), MU owns the most "expensive" squad in the world.
In this statistic, CIES calculates the amount of money that clubs have spent on transfers to own the current squad (including costs arising under contract terms).
Accordingly, with the current squad, MU has had to spend a total of 1.15 billion Euros. Of which, the strikers cost the Red Devils the most (411 million Euros).
This statistic is not too surprising because in recent years, MU has not produced many bright young talents. The Red Devils' squad depends heavily on transfers.
Not to mention, MU is often forced to lower the price in deals, so the amount spent is much larger than the real value.
MU put Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the new purchase list
The Daily Mail revealed that Napoli's Georgian midfielder could play in the Premier League next season. One of the English teams that is eyeing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is Manchester United.
