Tan Ky commune (Thai Nguyen) has 1,812 households with 7,629 people, Kinh ethnic group accounts for only 6%, Tay and Dao ethnic groups make up the majority, in addition there are Nung and San Chi ethnic groups. There are absolutely no factories or enterprises here, the main economy is from forestry and slash-and-burn agriculture, most people grow acacia, fat and some perennial trees.
Within 4 days (from July 18-21, 2025), the volunteer group joined the Women's Union and the Youth Union of the commune to do many tasks towards social security, for a "Green - Clean - Beautiful" environment such as organizing incense offering and flower planting, cleaning the Martyrs' Memorial towards the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).
Participate in labor to help families in especially difficult circumstances, poor women; do public labor to clean village roads, clean schools, help women's union members' families harvest agricultural products... plant flowers at the Party Committee headquarters; dredge canals in Ban Don and Na Chang villages...
Joining hands with the locality to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, such as supporting house repairs for some poor households... Implementing the "Zero-VND Market" project with 100 gifts of new clothes for the people. Inaugurating and handing over youth projects, building a "Green Library"; building a children's playground for Hoa Muc Primary School, and an "Outdoor Sports Area" project for the Commune Health Station.
Coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and organizations, unions presented 45 gifts to policy households, women in especially difficult circumstances, poor students overcoming difficulties, presented Kim Dong bookcases, supported the construction and repair of houses for 2 poor households and people with disabilities in the commune, presented 30 milk packages to children in kindergartens and primary schools in the area, supported the cost of organizing the Candle Lighting Ceremony to honor heroic martyrs in 2025... The total value of gifts and local donation funds is 110 million VND.
Delegation of officials and students of Vietnam Women's Academy presented gifts to children and families with meritorious services in Tan Ky commune in the "Green Summer" program 2025.
In addition to implementing youth projects in the locality, the volunteer group combined training some necessary life skills for children and vulnerable groups; established a propaganda team on law, traffic safety, propaganda, and dissemination of information of the Vietnam Women's Academy to the locality. The Women's Union and the Youth Union of the commune coordinated to mobilize more than 50 people to participate in public service activities such as dredging more than 800m of canals, clearing 8km of rural roads, cleaning and planting flowers at the commune memorial...
Joining in the volunteer activities is the enthusiastic working atmosphere of young people in the process of helping the locality repair public works, inter-village roads; clearing the flow, building flower roads, contributing to creating a "Green - Clean - Beautiful" environmental landscape for the highland villages here. In the volunteer activities in Tan Ky commune, the student volunteer team also coordinated with local schools to organize many activities to equip students with life skills, organize cultural exchanges and campfires with local people.
Volunteers also combine propaganda and dissemination of legal knowledge to people, mobilize people to eliminate bad customs, build a civilized lifestyle, and guide people to use online public services...
The volunteer activities of the students have left many good impressions in the hearts of local people. What made the young people participating in the campaign feel most moved was the warm welcome of the Tay and Dao ethnic students here.
"I wish you guys would stay here forever!", a simple sentence, but it made the whole volunteer group moved. Because they understood that the small things they did had truly touched the children's hearts. Without needing flowery words, the highland people responded to that feeling with songs, folk dances of the mountains and forests... or quiet footsteps following the group as if not wanting to leave.
