On the evening of October 30, according to a source from the People's Committee of Ha Linh Commune, Huong Khe District ( Ha Tinh ), local authorities have just received information that two women were swept away by floodwaters and went missing while on their way home from work. The victims were identified as Ms. TTTr (33 years old) and Ms. NTH (29 years old), both residing in Village 12, Ha Linh Commune and both were sisters-in-law.
Initial information is known, at noon of the same day, Ms. Tr and Ms. H drove their motorbike from work to go home, when they reached Banh Ran stream (near their house) they suddenly went missing. At the time of discovering the incident, at the scene it was raining heavily, the flood water was rising, at this time people only saw Ms. Tr's motorbike on the stream so they reported it to the authorities.
Mr. Bui Dinh Du, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Linh Commune, said: "After receiving the news, the local government coordinated with the functional forces and the people to quickly organize a search. After many hours, the functional forces discovered the body of Ms. TTTr, but Ms. NTH is still missing.
It is known that heavy rain has caused some houses in Ha Linh commune to be partially flooded. The commune has evacuated six households to the village cultural house, 150 households have water in their houses and gardens; Ho Chi Minh road through Phuc Dong commune and National Highway 15 through Ha Linh commune in Huong Khe district (Ha Tinh) are deeply flooded, and the authorities have put up signs to restrict traffic.
